Thub - Bonus tip: on days when you lack a socket set, your drill chuck is a universal socket set for sizes below 1/2". You just tighten the chuck down onto the nut or bolt.

It was such a good find! They were actually from a bar that’s being remodeled and there was a full couple rows of beer spouts as well which were likely brass, but I was driving home from the wedding and my car was pretty full of stuff already

I have performed successful gold recovery from circuit boards with vinegar peroxide hydrochloric acid sodium nitrate urea and sodium metabisulfite. Very in expensive and worth it considering it is a good skill to learn. Once you get that first gold nugget its 🎉

My standard response is “the Supreme Court ruled that dumpster diving is not illegal. If you believe I am trespassing, you should probably not interact with me but try and get a description and call your local law enforcement.” Of course, I live in the USA, and I am armed, lawfully and not concealed.

Love this channel and enjoy watching you. Will keep watching regardless. So with those preliminaries out of the way, not digging the music. It's distracting from the main event which is you and your banter, which is awesome. Also, that particular choice of music did not evoke adventure. More a nap. Still 90% positive, even with that :)

Thanks for the feedback, and watching in general! I’m confident the music was necessary in this situation but selecting a song is really subjective. Pick something energetic and half the people will say it’s loud, something too electronic and people call it annoying. This one may have been a bit too calm lol

For the 100k sub special I would love to see you set a goal of money you want to make and then see how long it takes to get there. Include some processing in with the dumpster diving and then end with a big cash in. You would hit everything that you channel is and has been on the road to 100k.

They were one of my favourite flips for a long time, I still have a bag of hardware to fix the ones that are missing wheels or bolts! I try to be picky about which ones I sell, this one is missing the cross bars

Have you ever done a tool video? Like what you use/carry/recommend? I work at a scrap yard; and one of the things I carry daily is a pair of wire snips and a magnet, but after watching you for a while, I added a pair of cable cutters to my toolbox. What's in your scrap tool arsenal?

Just laziness/habit I think. I’ve got no moral qualms against pulling bottles from dumpsters, it just doesn’t seem worth it to jump in and out for one of them. But you’re right, it’s silly to skip any of them. Next treasure hunt vid I’ll make a point of grabbing all of them! 👍

I've been scrapping for a while now but I have a small car so I stick to aluminum, copper, wire, and brass. I come across a lot of steel and end up leaving it. Do you think it would be worth my time to start just loading up my car with as much steel as I find?

It really depends, if you can fit it in the steel is really where most of the scrap money comes from but I totally understand mixed feelings about it when you have limited space. That’s why I want the truck back on the road ASAP, the car looked pretty full of steel this time but it was less than $20 after dumping it. Definitely feels like a waste of space without a truck/van/trailer. Sad as it may be, best to focus on density when it comes to steel until you’ve got more space for cargo
