Telling me how in the AF "they work really hard to come here and provide a life for THEIR kids" helps us provide for OUR kids when they're costing 150 billion per year, that's an average of $1000 PER tax-payer per YEAR according to FAIR. We don't owe them jacksh... But then to come here and act all entitled? FTBS!

Before throwing around the 'troll' label, go and do some research. Facts matter.

I wouldn’t say Americans are opposed to working in factories. It’s that the quality and pay does not justify it. Having worked in an ice cream factory, some spots on the line are ‘easier’ than others. But the general work is standing up and sorting products on a line. I will never understand why people can’t make factory jobs actually enjoyable. My solution is: make it physically less taxing, have steady hours/shifts, and pay them more than minimum wage. I still think minimum wage is a double edge blade. On one side it forces companies to pay the set minimum and on the other side that also means the minimum can be barely livable wage.
@usnluna139528 күн бұрын
The problem with hard labor jobs isnt that americans dont want to work them its that companies pay illegal immigrants alot less then american workers. Because these companies dont want to pay americans the proper wage for the position, americans dont want to do the work.

Sooo, when you commit a felony, with a minor in toe, you are separated, because that is am additional offense. This isn't anything special. You endanger the welfare of a child while commitING a felony. Or you could just come across legally.

@@sprawlingman8277me and my wife live in Nicaragua. I personally know a man from Nicaragua who works on a farm in the United States. He showed me papers that he gets paid far above minimum wage and they supply housing, electricity and water all paid for. The only thing he does is pay for his food. The government pays the farmers to hire immigrants. I have 5 sons that would have loved that opportunity.

@@davidprice9792 The example you provide is an outlier. If you are honest with yourself you will recognize that immigrants are paid far below the minimum wage which is why they are hired over and above American workers.

I cant help but feel that “more more more” is just a very bad idea. When the economy is demanding workers, that is healthy, but when the economy is saying no more then its time to stop the in rush of people. The southern border of the US is like an open wound that has a deadly infection that cant be healed as it is always under attack.

I usually agree with Charlie, but he is way off on this point. The US, like every country has a limited carrying capacity. Once that capacity is exceeded, it gets extremely difficult for everyone. Resources are finite and competition for them often cause conflicts and war. Population increase affects every aspect of life. Costs increase substantially with increases in population. Energy, social services, health care, infrastructure, education, the list is long. They all go up. Environmental concerns are also an issue. As population increases, the need for land does too. For every new person added, regardless of legal, illegal or native born, 20 plus acres of undeveloped land will be developed during their lifetime. Agricultural land and water use, will become threatened by increasing urban development. No one ever asks the American public this question: What should the population of the US be? Should we compete with China and India to be the most populous country? Or should we be smart and save our resources, our environment and quality of life for future generations? The economic model of unsustainable growth needs to stop. The corporate model of increasing population, to increase consumers needs to end. All immigration should be halted for a period of at least 50 years. All illegals should be repatriated. There is no turning back once the US population is over 400 million.

Instead of bringing people into the states how about real education to the people already in the states? In the 1930's the border was closed for a while to help the people. Affirmative action really made in bad in 1965.

I love Charlie, but I will disagree with his comment about flying over the country and seeing "empty" land. That land is more than likely farmland that produces product for our country, whether it be for beef, pork, chicken, wheat, soybeans, corn etc.
