Hi, thanks for sharing the recipe. I had tried your recipe and I'm very happy with the result. It's soft and fluffy. The taste is good except the durian aroma is not strong enough.This is my first time, successfully baked a cake after many failure. I like the texture that is what I'm expecting. My MIL (old woman) commented that it's a bit dry for her. Please advise how to get a slightly moist durian cake. What's the ingredients need to top up? Please reply soon, I intend to bake again to make my MIL happy with the texture. Thanks

Hi, you can shorten the baking time about 5min or add 20g milk or oil to make it more moist. The durian flesh can add more 30-50g to enhance the durian flavor. Happy baking ☺️

How tall is your cake pan? I’m adapting this for a six inch cake (I don’t have a pan), but I’m worried it’ll overflow. Mine is only about three or four inches tall, and I don’t have a reference for yours.

There are 3 things can makes a cake rise. 1. Baking Powder 2. Instant Yeast 3. Beaten Whole Eggs / Egg Whites The beaten egg method is a physical and natural method.

The texture will be slightly different. You can mix all purpose flour with corn starch to get a cake flour. 80% all purpose flour + 20% corn starch = cake flour.
