Watch the dyno run of my 2L Lancia & UNO Turbo X1/9. The 2L is running a lot better after it's tune-up.

Beautiful. I had a 1977 and then a brand new 1979 with 3 piece compomotive rims with P6s. The car was a blast. All it needed was more power but the handling was predictable and incredible.

Yes, handling has always been good, and a little tickle to the engine to get more performance makes the car come alive and what it should have been from the factory.

I had a 1974 X1/9 back in the day. Fun car, but way under powered. I think factory was about 66 HP? It was a 1.3L S.O.C. N/A, same power plant as the Fiat 128. It would would be fun to swap in the 2L 16V twin cam Dodge Neon ACR power plant. They could be reliably be pumped up to 300 HP with a turbo and a little NOS. I think the X1/9 would be a blast to drive with 300 HP. Even the bone stock 2L from the ACR would be a blast. (150ish HP I think) These cars are getting really hard to find here in the US, as they had major rust issues, and parts can be a problem as well. Great video, brings back some great memories. Thanks

I also had a Fiat x 1/9 for years. A great sports car. Unfortunately I am now 87 and therefore no longer have a car. Greetings from Holland.

Yes, they are fun cars but require lots of effort to keep them on the road. You may no longer have a car, but you're welcome to watch my ownership anytime.

Hey guys, my Starlet GT 1330cc 4EFTE motor (Stock) with a Microtech 9 ran 118BHP at the wheels. Fiat X1/9 1980. It's now got a new exhaust manifold so it should break the 130bhp mark.

Greetings from Europe, the Lancia/Fiat/Alfa twinks are very closely related, sure you know. The sohc (Tipo) 1.9 is also good for nearly 200bhp with ITB's and programmable injection, plus you don't need to change the mounts. Gordon Fogarty won in class, the Northern Ireland HillClimb Championship, last year. Manuel Dondi's Dallara uses a Hewland sequential + Alfa D2 from the 156 Super Touring and is unbeatable at the moment, by anything including Reto Meisel in the Judd V8-engined Mercedes. My project is at RMS Motoring Forum /Members Cars /The Ultimate X, Gordon's car also on the site. Manuel's car is on International HillClimb Monsters (naturally aspirated edition). Keep 'er lit.

Easy way to a sohc 1603 is a Tipo-Tempra-Punto Cabrio-Dedra-Delta 1.6 with overbore 87mm pistons, stock crank 67,4mm.

Very nice!! Here in Argentina fiat is the king of drag racing, here fiat is like Honda in EEUU, just that we use them with the stock engines, 1.3, 1.4, 1.6 and 1.9, we have a lot of models, and we even have models fabricated in argentina, ir you want look for "fiat Gálvez argentina" the sound of those N/A and turbo engines is beautiful

Very cool! Thanks for posting this - I have a question about the Uno Turbo - is it running stock boost? or turned up to 1bar? And lastly, does it have an air-air intercooler or water to air? (Hard to see in with the engine cover open) Thanks!

Do you have s Saratoga top? I saw the shine as you drove into the garage but couldn't be sure. Nice X! I have a project 74 that started life in a similar color of green.

Nice car, wenn have also a x1/9 but what are these for rims and are these rims in Germany legal?
@x19australia5 ай бұрын
Thanks, they are called Simmons Wheels v5, I believe, made in Australia. I'm not sure if they are legal in your country, but you can Google the wheels for more information.

Hello, what or who makes the bumpers on the black car and what wheels and tires front and rear also the black car. Very nice
@x19australia2 жыл бұрын
Hello and thanks, the bumpers I made from the originals by deleting the over rider holes and chroming them. The rims are Cromadora CD66 clones 7" running 185/55/R13 Avon tyres. You can find them online.

I'm currently restoring one, where you get your parts?
@x19australia3 жыл бұрын
Sorry I missed a lot of the comments till now. I have been collecting and restoring X1/9's for some time so I have also been dismantling rusting ones as well. So the parts I get are just from cars I have bought or Midwest-bayless.

Hey, there are four. It’s a very old system unfortunately, so I can’t control each one individually.
