Do you by any chance have a P1092 fix for a 330i? Nobody seems to have the right fix and Im throwing money away in parts.

That is a tough one because that code just indicates it is running lean. There would have to be a few more diagnostics performed like a smoke test to check for vacuum leaks. I assume you did your o2 sensors and MAF. Check your ICV and make sure is not stuck. But if you can maybe get someone with a better scanner to give you a more specific diagnostic.

Hi Any symptoms when the tank valv fails other than the code?
@carsavi11 ай бұрын
No symptoms. It just keeps coming back after being cleared. This isnt super common so you could likely get a cheap one from a part out or local junk yard to get rid of the light.

The side with the o rings under the intake boot was disconnected. I tried to reconnect it into the tab but it just slides out. What is the plastic connector called. Im getting p04555

I was getting a P0444 code. Yours is an EVAP code so check your gas cap and replace any lines that might cause a vacuum leak.

Can this be cleaned or is it 100% electronic sensor failure? My code 68 is intermittent which would lead me to believe it is not electronic failure. I don't know why everyone doesn't use the same terminology including BMW. In INPA it is fuel tank ventilation, in their parts system it is fuel tank breather. Elsewhere its an EVAP purge valve and so it goes on.

I completely agree, it took me a second to cross reference. I dont believe it can be cleaned just by looking at it. It doesnt look serviceable and its pretty cheap even second hand so id replace it as its pretty easy. If yours is intermittent its probably on the way out or I would check your gas cap or potentially a vacuum leak before replacing it as its even easier

@@carsavi Thanks for the reply and great video. My filler cap has a new gasket so I doubt its that. This seems to be a function of not using the car for many months. They really don't like it at all - I also have gearbox position switch which has never occurred before. Oxidised contacts, lack of use etc. I agree a new unit is the answer but they are £77 from BMW parts and around £50 aftermarket so I'll have a look at it first.

@@MrBubba59 definitely. My suggestion is to get a second hand one from a parts car, not more than 10£ these dont go bad too often and just try if it fixes your problem before throwing money at it.

What code is thrown for that ?

I got a P0444. Its very specific to this valve but sometimes it can also be masked as a bad fuel cap. I
