Good to see you back and getting to work on SFII !! *WOW!!* 😲 😲👏👏👏👍👍😎😎😎 🍺🍺 The Roll Cage fits nicely. I understand about not all holes lining up, variances and all that...... That's why God invented reamers and washers, in case I end up with more serious tub distortion! I get the OCD about tolerances..... Carmine's like that too in many ways!! 😲 I think, when we can FINALLY get started, that I'm getting 2 new replacement frames. At least we won't have to worry about what's stripped or cracked..... Now....... that Body! *WOW!!!!!* Holy CRAP! The fit and finish is so much more refined looking than SF-I. The new back part looks GOOD!! It is that finishing touch. The alignment pins and holes in the side panels, is nothing short of GENIUS! ! 👏👏👏 I know you planned it that way, but when I saw how well that piece slid in, mimicking all the lines of the side panels..... I was just amazed. Really! I just wish Carmine could have seen this moment........... 😯😕 Murph

Yeah that was a pain for me. The chassis is so sloppy that I finally chalked it up to manufacturing errors. Its all close enough, lol.

Yeah I had to re-edit in some set screws...haha! Thank you, I have similar ones on SuperFly 1 but these needed to be very shallow to fit all the suspension in there.

Proper tunable chassis roll now. I would love to see a proper test between this & an AE or Losi 2wd buggy. Can't wait for SuperFly III AWD Hornet conversion now. LOL ;)

Oh jeez....awd! NO!! I cant! Maybe...Yes, that is exactly the plan is to compare it to a gold pan RC10 and run it in a vintage class against the Losi and RC10's.

Congratulations on a new incarnation! :-) The new design (well new to me) reminds me of a grasshopper II rear vs hornet front end. Fits much more snug too, fantastic! Btw I know it's not an available option yet but have you thought of selling a complete parts ready to go kit?
@AMPROEngineering6 жыл бұрын
Hey Gary, thank you for the kind words. I always wanted a IRS Hornet so I am really excited that I finally got one! As for a kit, it would cost me way too much time to do that. I wish I could but I am way too strapped for time!

NICE! It definitely don't drive like a hornet no more! I have the wheels here for those adapters I replied to you in your video about your address but never got anything?
@AMPROEngineering7 жыл бұрын
Nope, it is definitely not a Hornet anymore...I did kind of ruin that aspect of it. You did?! Sorry! I will send it to you now! You drilled the rims out already right?

@AMPROEngineering3 жыл бұрын
Thank you Nathan. I do not know at this point. So far everything I have placed there has ended up on free sites and in some cases, in mass production but random companies. I cannot afford to have all my designs stolen if I expect to have Ampro Engineering continue to live. It really is a shame that people do this.

Hi , great videos and great parts, if I was to purchase a hornet , could you give me a complete list of parts to make the super fly 2? , also would these mods work on a grasshopper. Keep the vids coming , and the engineering .
@AMPROEngineering6 жыл бұрын
Hey David, the videos coresponding to the builds all have a parts list, part numbers and required associated hardware. The mods will work on a Grasshopper but you will need to mod the body in some minor ways.

Hi is there any chance you can send me the 3d print download for the stock one
@AMPROEngineering Жыл бұрын
They there, all these parts are developed for SLS prints and will not work well or at all in FDM. I will have most of these on the Ampro MyMiniFactory soon as I complete the Version 3.

I just got a grasshopper hornet and I want a cage, I just want to make sure I get the right fit. Can you help me? What do the nerf bars do
@AMPROEngineering3 жыл бұрын
Well there is one cage I make that fits under the shell of the hornet. The grasshopper will not work with the cage since the shell on the hopper is the cage. Episode 74 shows the full install and there is a parts list with links in the description. kzbin.info/www/bejne/n4rXpKKAfpebeas

@@AMPROEngineering I just checked it out but that is not the chasis I have. Mine is more rounded in the front and have no screw holes in the front. It looks like the frame would connect to this 1 piece sticking up in the middle of the front.
@sorryociffer6 жыл бұрын
The panel gaps are not a big deal. Real race cars and buggies do not use precision fit body panels. This only adds to the realism.
