BBS is like a mix of all my favorite bands in one package! Led zeppelin, skynyrd, Waylon, black crowes zz top yet they have there own unique sound & style despite those influences. Plus, Charlie's guitar tone is the sound i hear in my head that I've been trying to achieve for years!

I'm just hearing these guy's about a month ago unbelievable the first song I heard was this little town or something like that and I loved it these guy's are truly very good band I hope they go far because as far as I'm concerned best I've heard in a long time

Really like this band. They have a Humble Pie vibe with southern roots. Charlie has Stevie Marriot’s approach to delivering vocals, plus he’s a more than competent guitar player. I would like to hear more lead stuff from Paul. He is no slouch. Really solid rhythm section with brother bass & drums. To top it off, really tasty keyboards, which fills out the overall sound of the band. They also pull off the country rock vibe when occasion calls for it. I am definitely a fan.

Oh but we do here in Europe! BBS just had one heck of a tour. Saw them in Paris 24 March 2023 (4th concert: Paris, Portland Oregon, Antwerp, Paris). Watch the clips and especially in Spain and the UK. But really, the fans know all the words to the sing alongs. The full concert from Paris is online. And yikes if you check their tour schedule in the US, man or man they have fans everywhere. OK, might not often be on prime time TV (Conan/Colbert both had them on - search KZbin), but they are KNOWN. They've been together for over 20 years!!!! Rock on David, rock on. Linda near Paris, France.

I saw them in black mountain and there’s absolutely nothing fake about em. You definitely hear Georgia. I’ve met recording artists and most aren’t worth the powder it would take to blow out their brains, but I don’t think Charlie Starr would be a disappointment. These guys are awesome!

This is what music should be, don't be like the black crows and forget where you came from...... Blackberry smoke.... Sit down together and look at this concert. This is your Roots guys, hell, I'm from NC and I want to jam with you, keep this moment!! Love you guys!!!!

I stumbled across this band while learning my favorite songs, I'm a 58yr old 2nd rate guitarist, who was desperate to find the happy southern rock of my youth. So thank you, Dixie Chicken.

I was in high school then college in the '70's and cut my teeth on Southen RocknRoll. Saw all the greats live many times back in the days and especially Lynyrd Skynyrd. This band with it's boogie piano on many songs reminds me of LS. Great Band.
@1stSaintsFan8 жыл бұрын
+NigelTufnel67 Oh I know how to spell the name correctly and yes, you are right about others mangling the spelling. I worked transportation security on one of Lynyrd Skynyrd's 1977 shows in my hometown of Monroe La. I had Ronnie Van Zant's car and he was the last to leave the Civic Center because he signed autographs at the loading dock to local fans. We rode around and he smoked our good Red Bud and drank some Budweisers. He invited us up to the LZ after party and we got to meet most of the band that night. Most of the band was playing poker when we arrived, so we stuck around talked to Ronnie, said our goodbyes after 30 minutes. One night I will not forget and sadly the plane crash happened later that year.

It's really amazing how the sum of all these guys are like the real heart of the South but from the '70s,80s,90s,2ks, and the best is in the here and the now talking the talk and walking the walk and it's FRESH not a rehash! Just goes to show our hearts are the feeling for what's in a song that never changes but knows the real deal when you hear it, feel it, and raises our freak flag in appreciation for the new ''Sons of The Southern'' way of life,, Bless Yas All,Bless U.S.(A) All!

Hey Yall, Lets Smoke one for Charlie and the Guys in the Band. I believe Blackberry Smoke is the best band in the world today. These guys are real, honest Southern boys that are carrying on where The Allman Bros, Skynard , Blackfoot and 38Special left off. Charlie Starr in my opinion is a flat out musical genius. He writes great tunes with great lyrics, great melodies and great hooks. So sit back and enjoy real Greatness that is Blackberry Smoke!!!
@yogirichardson17017 жыл бұрын
D. Totally agree BBS picked up where The Greats left off. You prob remember how many have Tried to get that southern rock and blues sound without "copying" or tryin to fill those Huge shoes. BBS thankfully pulled it off In Spades!! Great harmonizing vocals, and (the toughest to pull off live) Harmonizing Guitars! .

@@christysmith5220 What a great concert this one was. Don't know which city, state, country loves BBS the most. In Europe, I've heard them say in interviews that Spanish fans are just crazy. When they went to South America Brazil went absolutely "batsh...t" freaking nuts. They knew every word and sang above the band they were so loud on some songs. Add us all up and we are one heck of a big group of fans and friends. Rock on ChristySmith. From near Paris, France. Linda
