There are so many things to be thankful for. Years ago in Germany I had the chance to Celebrate Canadian Thanksgiving with a family in the Canadian Forces that was stationed in Germany at VII Corps HQ (US Army) in Stuttgart, it is nice to get to do it twice in one year.

Glad to see you are using a local electrician to make sure things are installed safely and correctly. Nothing against the advanced do it yourselfer but to many risk to much doing it themselves. The ground wire to the ground device you buried needs a good anti-plating coating and with the water level so close you may want to check and replace the anti-plating coating on the copper wire every couple years. It is just a paste but makes a big difference, if there is an induced voltage to the ground the copper wire will plate (like plating a metal for looks) to the ground device you buried and leave no connection. Anytime you connect dissimilar metals you want to stop plating from happening. Also copper to aluminum you should use a stainless steel connector between if you can. I hope you guys get a couple decades of use from that setup it looks awesome.

I believe water is most dense at 4 degrees c, and so it sinks to the bottom pushing warmer water up until it all reaches 4 then freezing starts at the surface.

Lovely, lovely video: great mix of scenic and tasks … a joy to watch and listen ❤❤❤! I am waiting to see solar setup. I live in NW MT at 48 north and I am guessing you are further north, i.e. not a lot of sun and it is a low southern arc mid-Autumn to late Winter. I am on grid but am slowly putting together an Ecoflow system (partly for portability) to be comfortable in case as well as to use in my RV. I have not bought solar panels as I did not think I could generate enough year round to be cost efficient. I hope you prove me wrong!!!

A crisp winter bitter cold outside…while the love you That Momma has for her family is out in the kitchen took a brief break to what what you was able to be blessed with for Christmas this year for the kids and Mom and Dad. And perhaps maybe even Santa left a bone or 2 for the Lando. And we can’t forget the decorations even if you got to make some with dried cranberry’s and popcorn…Now that would be a nice Christmas and decorations….you really do have it made and now your going off grid. Nice video for sure... May I suggest the biblical set aside (holy) appointed times rather than the the pagan origin man made holidays and putting the same of the Son on to it? Christ and his followers kept/keep them just like the walk that he did an his followers did and taught after he went to sit at the right hand side of the Father. Modern man tricked and miss read what Paul said... I suggest 119 ministries series called "The Pauline Paradox" ... follow their recommendations and keep an open mind. I've been at this 50 years and still learned some.

I wish I could afford them ... but Yah makes the rich and the poor but also we are not to love the world's peace and prosperity ... not that any of this is such... just sayin.

I would have bolted the battery bodies "together" and use metal coper busbars to connect rather than the long looped wires.. maybe upgrade. If you had / have an earthquake all that could come tumbling down .. 19:56 ... paused again.. did you torque the bolts and the "plyers" are being used "backward". They are not designed to be uses turning nuts/bolts in either directions... much like an adjust able wrench ... designed to be used in one direction.. flip it over to loosen etc....

installing PV in our alpine region requires not your 'run of the mill solar panel' but one that can withstand the snow load as well as hail (>1" or >2.54cm) while the PV achilles heel is microcracking. not too many PV companies manufacturing such resistance proof panels, while many are so back ordered, looking at >24mo. done our homework, wonder what y'all have in mind in N.Ontario? BMS is critical too, would not like to keep LiFePO4 in the raw, in consequence of that huge risk.. possible thermal runaway drama, thus took no shorcuts. Keep in mind, safe and enjoy

Living here on Whidbey Island where we can lose power on and off I have installed generator transfer switch so I can power up the house with a generator. It's nice to still have power when we lose it which isn't all that often . I also installed a solar system for my radio shack as backup for my Ham, GMRS and CB Radios. Yes I run the gamut of all radios which is interesting finding the people who are still using them. Nice video and I am loving the battleborn systems.
