This is amazing, Mr Jimmy is basically a Page clone, Jason has the good DNA from his Father. But for me it really makes you appreciate how magical Robert Plant was to the Zep sound. Plant is so difficult to recreate.

Need to hear my friend Rich sing it. Keyboardist for Herman's hermits. His Cleveland band used to be a zeppelin cover band late 70s. Can still make your jaws drop when you hear them. (Rest in heaven sweet Wes)

James is amaxing compared to 95% of the jokers out there. Jason chose him for his accuracy, not the shaking his ass around with a wig and suspenders. James does the job like a champion.

@@joepinto509he only dsid that not to spund like a grumpy old man like he has ever 10 years yhat produces how many Zepp clones? The singer has the long range howel otherwise he sounds NOTHING like Plant. GVF SUCKS and no Zeppelin fans like or respect them. The song eriting os do weak it's embarrassing. The only people who liked GVF half way though their low musical quality career were middle schoolers who didn't even know who Zepp was. Name me ONE full song that sounds like Plant... Can't be done. One of the HARDEST things to do is get props for your skills when you are the son of one of the greatest to ever play. Getting out of that shadow is nearly IMPOSSIBLE unless you are better. Jason is a BAD ASS drummer. His credits say all that needs to be said about how good of a pro he is.
@Bluesman57 Жыл бұрын
I have seen Jason Bonham twice, He starts his shows by giving massive tributes to Dad, and playing family videos on the screen behind him, and your right he is a BAD ASS drummer. I have an autographed drum head he signed for me hanging in my office at home.
@Terribleathletes7 ай бұрын
And the thing is, the reason he's doing this is to honor his dad's legacy. In interviews. He has stated that drumming was not really that big of a priority in his life, it wasn't until his dad died that he decided to start taking the drums really seriously again, because he wanted to carry on the family legacy.

I actually didn't care for the way Mr. Jimmy played Black Mountainside, it actually sounds better finger picked which was how I taught myself to play it. Not sure how Jimmy himself actually did it. That song was my introduction to the DADGAD tuning which "Kashmir" is actually played in. I actually taught myself the song in standard tuning and prefer to play it that way still but, these guys are great and love that they're keeping the magic alive!
