My wild one: it’s revealed that every cutscene from Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League was originally an HBO/Max movie that was 90% completed and shelved by Warner Bros. for a tax write off. Then they used the past year delay to have an AI tool reskin the movie using assets and animations from rocksteady Arkham games. It’s then revealed by 100% completing the game that the AI’s name was Brainiac and it’s all from the game’s antagonist who knows he’s in a live service game that will get a 4.2 on opencritic

I think the wild ones should be grounded in some reality but with the lofty expectations where there is a small chance that they can happen. Half the allies predictions can be dismissed from every conference in 2024 now. The excitement and hope that comes with them throughout the year is something to look forward to with EZA imo.

Staying vague to avoid spoilers. There is no way a character dying or not in FF7 Rebirth is a choice. That would have massive consequences for part 3 and make the development of that game nearly impossible. Every dialogue, cutscene, etc... would have to be made for each 'choice'.

For the FF7 prediction, here's my personal prediction which I'm shocked no one said: They will change things up and Aerith will not die. However, they are not going to have Tifa die instead, because it would be lame to just kill the other female lead. If they really want to shock their audience, the character that will die is Cloud.

My thought is that the new Nintendo console will just be different than the switch, it’ll be a home console, much more powerful, not compatible with the switch games unless you connect the switch to it. They will continue to selling switch consoles and games for the next 3 years when the actual switch successor will be announced.

Regarding which character in FF7: it has to be Aerith. She wasn't chosen at random. Tifa makes no sense. I do think the circumstances are going to be different this time, but Aerith has to be removed. Sephiroth may make Cloud or Zack do it themselves this time though. That is my prediction.

There is not a chance that it will be Switch 2 with the joy cons as the roman numerals. That is way too close to the current logo. It would be Wii U all over again.

I think Nintendo learned too much from the Wii U to ever name the Switch successor any of the names you guys levied, besides Super Nintendo Switch (and that's mainly because they love doing callbacks). The Switch is such an outlier at this point among Nintendo consoles, sans the Wii (which even that is way behind the Switch in sales now), that I think it would be the smartest business decision to just call it the Switch 2. That's my theory at least...until Huber is proven a prophet once again with the Switchstation Series X

Ninty tend to use names that follow either the form or philosophy of the console - so unless they shock us all with a device that's very different to the current switch (either in looks or usage) then they'll probably keep 'Switch' - especially if the carts are backwards compatible. It could be called Switch Advance.

Nintendo has a leaky ship in some respects. Details about mainline Pokemon games get leaked months ahead of time pretty frequently. They've cracked down a lot and so we don't usually get anything crazy anymore like that time the official concept art of the fully evolved starters for the anime leaked, but there is still always consistently correct information that comes in.

Easy Allies has been dying since they lost their biggest stars which were Kyle and Brandon. Losing Ben, their best reviewer I thought was a fatal blow, I was even surprised how well Brad stepped up to the plate for Frame Trap. Still EZA's potential for growing their audience was severely hampered by losing those 3. However they lost Brad due to their handling of the episode with Dustin which was a great episode that was very well received outside the ResetEra crowd (who are the old NeoGaf morons who are no better than GamerGate In my opinion) and that to me was the obvious sign EZA was on deaths door. If they are listening to the ResetEra forums more than the wider community, that tells me their Patrons are largely ResetEra morons and have chased away any hope of a mainstream audience. If they pivot to a more mainstream audience they lose their ResetEra patrons and go broke, however if they cater to the ResetEra patrons, they chase away any hope of sustainability by growing a bigger audience until ResetEra find an excuse to abandon them too (which a few of them did because Brad had the audacity to bring a personal friend of his onto his own show) Maybe getting full time jobs elsewhere could help them pivot and rebuild the brand, however my suspicion is the damage is done and EZA will not survive 2024. Happy to be proven wrong. However lets not forget EZA as a full time venture already did fail in 2023.
