I wish I could hug you! I wanna thank you from the bottom of my heart truly. When I was about 10 yrs old my grandmother taught me how to do granny squares, but life happened and I stopped crocheting. Now my 3 sons are nearly grown so I decided to revisit crochet. I was quickly bored with granny squares so I searched youtube and found you. Because of you I have completed 5 beanies (1 owl one) and this scarf. My 14 yr old already has dibs on it he says and it really turned out beautiful. I used Super Saver Sunrise and Caffe Latte together for vibrant colors (orange, reds, blues, browns) all mixed up together. If I can ever find my digital card for my camera I will snap some photos to show you but without you, I would not be nearly as successful as I have been so thank you!

Your projects are so great. I just started crocheting a couple of weeks ago . I refuse to do granny squares but was having trouble finding stitches that looked more advance than they are. The way you teach is easy for me to follow. I'm trying this scarf and if it looks like "something I made" my daughter won't wear it. I think this will surprise both of us. Thank you. Can't wait to check out other videos

I made this as a last minute Christmas present for our 8 year old grandson, scaled down. I only used one strand of a similar weight yarn in blue heather and it really was quick and easy. I found another little scarf that I hadn't ever given a grand daughter years ago, and it looked like it was good for a little boy also, so it's going to the six year old brother! They live in Connecticut, and actually WEAR scarves! We're in Georgia, so more for decoration! Merry Christmas and THANKS

Hi, no sorry there is not but I can type it here for you :) 1 - chain as long as you want your scarf hdc into the 2nd chain for the hook and each chain across, turn 2- chain 1 (doesn't count as a stitch) hdc into the back loop of the first stitch and each stitch across, turn 3 - repeat 2 until you have your desired width Hope this is what you need :)

Hello Clare, First off LOVE YOUR VIDEOS, I have only been crocheting a short while and your videos were the first I saw and are my FAVORITE by far. I am in the process of making this scarf and although I measured how long I wanted as it got wider it seems as if it is shorter (never made anything that had to be measured length wise before). Is there anyway with out undoing the scarf I could make it longer?
