much better than the other tutorials i watched! makes much more sense to chain two at the beginning (increase) than have two actual stitches together.

I love this stitch I actually do use the hooks recommended by the yarn label for it because for ear warmers I like them dense with no air holes for pennsylvania winters.
@CrochetwithClare7 жыл бұрын
hi, yes when in doubt i always use the hook recommended or one size lower since i am a loose crocheter.

Thank you for this excellent tutorial. I am planning to use this stitch as a border around a blanket. Please could you recommend the best way to turn the corners using this stitch? Thanks😃
@CrochetwithClare10 жыл бұрын
If you were doing a corner with this stitch I would place 1 Single crochet ch1, single crochet, ch 1, single crochet all into the corner stitch.

Thank you for your great videos. I wish Red Heart yarn was easily available in Australia particularly through a haberdashery chain like Spotlight. It's just too expensive these days with exchange rates and postage to import it myself as I used to do. And, of course, there's the 'want to start my project immediately' factor. :)
@CrochetwithClare8 жыл бұрын
Hello, yes I agree, I wish it was available via Spotlight too, I have seen Lion brand there I completely understand the 'want to start my project immediately' factor. :)

Im about to start the final row of this scare (thanks for the pattern!) but I’m confused about something. Both ends/green rows of yours are a little thicker. So when I started the scarf I did a chain and then did SCs into it. How do you do this... backwards for the final row?
@CrochetwithClare3 жыл бұрын
hi, i did not do backwards single crochet in this pattern. it's just a normal single crochet row. i just have really loose tension

Hello, I love all your videos. I have learned a lot from your channel. I am trying to learn how to make the hooded scarf for my granddaughters for the holidays. I saw a hat that had was called a tassel hat. could you do a video on this, want to do them for my granddaughters.. When you wear the hat it looks like you have your hair (hat) in pig tails in the front. The tassel are large, real cute I think for kids. Hope you will, Blessings to you and prayers sent for your Mum.

Great video..have a quick question...what happens if you run out of yarn(scrap yarn)in the middle of a row??
@CrochetwithClare8 жыл бұрын
Hello, you can join it in - before you finish the single crochet, before you pull that last loop through, drop the yarn and pick up the new yarn and finish the stitch and continue with the new yarn if you do a KZbin search you can find videos on how to do it :)
@qhsperson10 жыл бұрын

Umm... the moss stitch I know how to do is a bit different from this one. Instead of chaining, you slip stitch into every other space. So which one is technically the correct way?
@CrochetwithClare10 жыл бұрын
There really is no correct way to do it. You can do either way that you like best.
@jamiefaris141710 жыл бұрын
bobwilson123 OK because I was taught that what your doing is the seed stitch.
