I make quiche quite often because I have chickens and it is a great way to use up extra eggs and leftovers. I never bother to blind bake the crust or spray the pan. The pie crust has enough fat to not stick and crisps up well. I do sometimes cover the edges with aluminum foil or a pie shield so it doesn’t over brown.
@FeedingtheByrds2 жыл бұрын
Good tips!! And yes we make them a lot as well
@susananderson96192 жыл бұрын
I've made quiche twice, and made the mistake of blind baking the pie crust the second time.By the time the eggs and cream set properly, the bottom crust was past the prime doneness. I won't blindnake next time

I thought I had crescent dough but it turned out to be a pie crust. I was making cream cheese with blueberry pie filling . I liked the taste but pie crust with such delicate fillings seemed a bit thick. Great for pie though. I’ve never used puff pastry before but I’ll try that. I think pie crust is great for a firmer filling like what your making than what I made.
