Awesome craftmanship. I built myself a secret compartment but never thought about fingerprint access. Way cool. One suggestion if I may. Instead of fingerpring in plane site I would reverse it and mount the fingerprint scanner in the back underneath so no one would know more than they need. But again...awesome creativity.

Thanks for the tutorial! I certainly understand why the price of lower quality premade tables are so expensive. It's like building guns or reloading ammunition... It's having the right tools to do a quality job first. You might want to put a strip under the drawer slide to hide the metal on the sides, and you could put the finger print reader on the bottom of the drawer so it is hidden. The ones I've used make you orient your finger a particular way, so you have to record several fingers in different orientations so it works when you need it. Too bad they don't have the processor power to rotate the finger print to check for a match but they are cheap.

@@blackedout000 agreed, but it does not have to be an act of war, it can occur naturally and can be an unfortunate result of living near certain industrial electrical components frequently used in our grid. And while yes, their are plenty of things to be worried about if either event occurs, the fact is that being able to access one of those firearms quickly could be the difference between life and death. The reason people who DIY for SHTF exist is because of being in a heightened state of preparedness. Adding a manual way to unlock this is simply logical.

I don't have the dillagence to build that on my own... Thats why I went to Liberty Concealment to buy my table 🙂👍. You did a great job tho, and I would be happy with that completed project. Great workmanship!👊

Very cool. I was looking how to make a gaming table for games. Nice build and very easy to follow instructions.
