Hungarian is by far my favorite language.thats mostly because im Hungarian haha. its so unique and beautiful. its actually pretty simple once you listen to it often.

Is it true that there are 25 cases in Hungarian?

It's probably true but it's pointless to count "cases" in agglutinative languages. It's like counting how many prepositions there are in English. "Cases" in Hungarian are not the same thing as cases in German or Polish.

No one knows exactly. Some studies say, that there are up to 42 cases.

Nah, it's not alien - it's part of a family with Finnish and Estonian. Basque is alien.

When you teach certain languages, you can not use free translation. (some languages you must) This is horrible to teach in a language like Hungarian where specific words change the entire meaning. Maybe should be 3 lines one with the Hungarian text, one with the word by word translation and one with the English meaning. "If I could play so well, but unfortunately not" translated "in case I am able to act as good, but I am not" "if I could" means very different than "in case I am able"

Gábor Juhász lol...it was specifically about Hungarian. English is different, Latin languages are different as well, but for example Chinese you must use free translation. Szivesen, ha valoban ugy értetted.
