I tilt the stove and dryer back and stick a rug under the 2 front legs to drag them out. I move my window AC units by putting them on a big blanket or sheet and dragging them. Single mom hack.

This works well on lighter units. My washer is 260 lbs. Pretty hard to just tilt it backwards especially when it’s set in under a countertop. I wish appliance makers had come up with a better built-in solution - like rollers that go up when you ain’t need them and are easily lowered when you need to move your appliance. Sometimes you just need to get in behind to replace hoses, cleaning, etc.

This works with all units even 300 lb you're not bearing the total weight you're just tilting it back. Also your countertops should be made to be removable. They can't put wheels on these things because the high RPMs of the spin cycle

Maybe if they sold an add-on with a low profile steel square dolly, that you could slide uder when you needed to move the appliance, and store out of the way the rest of the time? I know, I know...probably not as practical as what uou dhow here. I'm just mad because I've lived in places where each applice hookups were enclosed by 3 walls, so you had to pull it out AND then also had to walk it sideways (already frustrating with the dryer, doubly so for the washer, because in addition to walls on both sides and behind, there was also the plastic overflow pan underneath to account for).

Use pledge on he floor. Just spray it right at the contact points of the machine to the floor. It will slide out with ease

Yes at this day and age you'd think they would make them easier to move. I'm 66 with spinal injury but still have to spend ages humpings and heaving just to clean behind my Fridge freezer and washer/dryer. Here in UK they're made with hardly any space gap between top of machine and counter. so the appliance roller kits won't fit under. .. Most of us here have kitchens the size of your laundry room. x

Forget abt expensive sliders.. I'm surprise this actually works!! I tried it on my front loaded with additional dryer stack above. Tats double the weight. I used plastic sheets instead n still managed to pull it out!! Thx for the tip..

Hello Reggie, thanks for the video. My washer and dryer is one piece and is located in a small closet area with carpeting in the hall just outside. To add to this Im a senior living by myself. What would you suggest? The washer and dryer work but the air hose, that takes the air to the vent( I dont know what its called) has come off it. I just have to put it back. Theres almost no area around the machine. Thanks and best regards from Canada.

The air dome on my GE washer is really nasty. I’ve already blasted air into it and tried to loosen gunk with a wire but it didn’t seem to do anything. Is there a way to get the to the other side of the air dome to clean it out? I have a WVSR1060G8WW. I went thru the outside where the hose is.
