It's always important to listen to the messages that your body is sending you. Also, evaluate if your body does not respond to animal based foods or is it the way the animals have been raised, fed and treated. That can also play a significant role. There are 2 excellent books that I have just finished reading which have further improved the way I treat patients and handle disease and illnesses. These books were written by a doctor but they're for the layperson, John/Jane Q public. They can possibly help you get on a healthy track. The names of the books are: The Emotion Code and The Body Code by Dr. Bradley Nelson.

Question Doctors : How many eggs a day could a person dealing with Nueropathy be a suitable amount ? Thx so much for all you do ! Looking forward to hearing bavk from you !
@NerveDoctors Жыл бұрын
You are very welcome. How many eggs a day you consume will depend upon your size and we recommend anywhere between 2 to 4 eggs, daily. For larger or more muscular individuals we would recommend up to six eggs per day. So for instance, I weigh 125 pounds and I am 5’6” with, 15% body fat and I consume four eggs per day. I hope this gives you an idea.

Since eggs contain everything needed to create a new bird unlike a mammal that can’t always deliver every thing their new infants need . I wonder if my consumption of five minute steamed eggs is a healthy option the yolk is runny if I get the eggs out and cooled before it solidifies bit. I don’t trust free range cage free free run and can’t find pasture raised so I buy omega three eggs in the hops the hens diet is better . I am lucky that when I go to a specialist in a city 21 kilometres away there is a farm store that sells them and pasture raised meats too so I stock up on organ meats and pork lamb and beef . Thank you for sharing your knowledge about eggs. Dr Westman often speaks about flawed studies. It would seem a lot depends on who is paying for the study and if you squint and look you can make anything you want for the client . As a hunter gather I buy the minimally processed food and leave the fake food laden with chemicals in the store. If I don’t cook it I don’t eat it some days poor hunting in my freezer or pantry plenty in storage but I do intermittent fasting and change my routine ❤🎉❤🫠😲🌺🌟🌺🖖🖖🖖✨🌺✨👍👍👍🌟🌺🌟👋🏻🧝🏼🤚🏻💝💖💝

So what is the best way to eat the eggs question mark do we fry them? Sunny side up scramble?
@NerveDoctors Жыл бұрын
The best way to eat eggs to get the most nutrient, dense nutrition would be with a soft yolk. For instance, sunny, side up or lightly over or soft boiled. If you choose to scramble them or make them into an omelette, you were still going to get immense nutritional value from it, but when you’re looking at the absolute best way, it is keeping that yolk soft

Another very informative video! Your videos have helped me immensely. One thing I'd like to see you cover is the use of cannabis for nerve pain. There's a lot of research that's been done in other countries and it's pretty amazing. I won't even get into the fact that big pharma and Monsanto are investing heavily in the cannabis industry ahead of federal legalization. There are so many different ways of taking it other than smoking. I've been microdosing during the day and using a therapeutic dose at night for a few months now and the difference is unbelievable. Six months ago I thought I was done and now I'm at a point where I think I can reduce my gabapentin dose and in time possibly eliminate it entirely. Keep up the good work!

TC and LDL are irrelevant. The only number that matters is your TG/HDL ratio, which should be less than 1.0
@NerveDoctors Жыл бұрын
HI there. The average doctor will simply look at the numbers and tell you that you have a cholesterol problem and should be on a statin drug. A functional medicine doctor (who is not under the thumb or coercion of Big Pharma) knows better. It's not as simple as looking at the numbers. 212 total cholesterol is actually healthy if you are 50 and over. We need higher levels of total cholesterol as we age to protect are blood vessels. Your LDL may or may not be a problem. That depends on if your SLDL is raising this number. LDL is not necessarily a problem unless your SLDL level is causing this elevation. This is the culprit in atherosclerosis and most doctors never even break down the LDL to check the SLDL levels. Also, where is your HDL at? Supplements that will naturally help get your cholesterol into a healthy zone are Niacin, Phytosterols, Omega 3 fish oil, to name a few. I also use a supplement called Cardio-ND from Premier Research Labs for my patients. Both Dr M & I also take this supplement ourselves.

I’d like to know how you can lower your LDL where the other levels are fine
@dlg5485 Жыл бұрын
The latest research is showing that your LDL number is largely irrelevant. The most important part of your lipid profile is your TG/HDL ratio. Divide your triglycerides by your HDL and the result should ideally be less than 1.0 which means your lipids are well balance and protective, regardless of what your TC and LDL numbers are.
@NerveDoctors Жыл бұрын
Hi Carolyn. So, the first thing you need to find out is which part of your LDL is causing the elevation. If it's SLDL then, yes you need to get this lowered. That's the part of LDL's that damage blood vessels. Go to a lab that will break down the different types of LDL. Typically if your HDL and Triglycerides are at optimum levels, then you don't have to worry about your LDL's because usually the SLDL is not elevated. To lower cholesterol naturally, you can use Niacin and phytosterols. Another supplement I absolutely love and place my patients on is Cardio-ND by premier research labs. We also use this one, ourselves.

Do you have suggestions for nerve health for Vegans who don't eat eggs/meat products? For protein we eat nuts, tofu and beans.
@wrshpr4lf Жыл бұрын
oh I see that you recommend for Plant- based folks combining proteins properly. What combos ?
@NerveDoctors Жыл бұрын
This is a great question because with vegans, you are much more limited in your protein sources than let’s say a vegetarian who can eat eggs. One of the biggest things you need to do is to make sure that you are getting all nine essential amino acids in what you’re eating and you’ll have to do this by combining foods. Now one of the best combinations will be rice and beans. We always recommend soaking your beans for at least 24 hours… I soak mine for 48 hours because this will break down the phytic acid in the beans. You can also combine rice with mushrooms or beans with mushrooms to complete the pro Tien profile. You would certainly want to look at things like hemp seed and quinoa, which have a complete protein profile with all nine essential amino acids, although the protein value won’t be high. Another thing you can do is supplement with an essential amino acid drink. I like the one by the company Thorne called amino complex. Hope this helps.
@wrshpr4lf Жыл бұрын
Thank you for your long detailed answer regarding being plant-based but also enduring peripheral neuropathy. I have had so many tests there is no legitimate reason for the neuropathy That is why I ask if eating plant-based could be contributing for some reason and what supplements should I take or should I begin to include eggs something I never would do, if it would help this unwanted numbness and pain in my feet?
