He as been wronged and wants to belief there is some gift on the other side.

Your comment reminds me of a story I heard from someone who used to be own a funeral home. He said one very devout Christian family wanted to stay overnight with their deceased relative because they were convinced she would come back to life because she was so good, God would want to bring her back. I doubt that even the Bible claims that ever happens. In fact, I thought the Bible claims that Heaven is supposed to be a beautiful reward which is supposedly better than life on earth. So if there were a God, sending someone back to life would be more like a punishment. They always tell us that when people go to Heaven, they are supposedly beyond pain, sadness, hunger, and hate. And if God wanted to keep good people on earth to continue to do good, why would he allow them to die in the first place? It's truly amazing to me that theists not only insist on taking parts of their Bible literally, and intentionally misinterpreting other parts that would be too horrific otherwise, but here they are intentionally making up stuff to believe in that isn't even in the Bible. Unless they think everyone is like Lazarus.

And perhaps transition ourselves from a Type 0.x Civilization into a Type I Civilization.... But... If we fail... Indeed, some proponents of the Kardashev scale, argue that the transition from Type 0 to Type I is the MOST dangerous transition of all... Given the fact that a sub-type civilization (such as ours!) has access to nuclear energy but yet, still has large chunks of the general population believing in Bronze Age mythologies! Given these High Stakes, Human Stupidity, Ignorance, Bigotry and a sheer lack of Scientific Knowledge are now critical to our Survival, if we don't learn to tame and control these basic and primal aspects of ourselves. In short... We can no longer afford to be dumb, retarded, backward looking imbeciles... And, even though I abhor eugenics... You gotta see what others are saying on a video like this. This was the most stunning display of confusion and nonsense I've ever seen on this show. Dude called into an atheist show not knowing what the word atheist meant. And not in some common misunderstanding way. He literally asked if you can be an atheist and still believe in a god.

'Why', just 'why' do these confused callers find it impossible to answer 'Yes' or "No' to a 'yes or no' question? Can anyone intelligently answer that query? Is it the same stigma which seems to plague so many politicians?

Just research "Dopamine" first in relation to "drug addiction" (chemical), then "gambling addiction" (thought), and then "schizophrenia" (Dopamine Hypothesis).

I don't recall ever having an argument with a Christian where they'd directly answer a question. They'll make excuses, redirect, start spouting scripture.... ANYTHING but answer.

A story in an ancient collection of Hebrew fairy tales does not mean the characters in the story ever existed. An actual appearance at the United Nations General Assembly on live camera would be compelling evidence for a god. I am looking forward to seeing this happen.

@@Chomper750 Did you even read the psalm 82? It doesn't say anything like this.
@Chomper7505 жыл бұрын
@@IoDavide1 yes it does. God has taken his place in the divine council; in the midst of the gods he holds judgment: 2 “How long will you judge unjustly and show partiality to the wicked?Selah 3 Give justice to the weak and the orphan; maintain the right of the lowly and the destitute. 4 Rescue the weak and the needy; deliver them from the hand of the wicked.” 5 They have neither knowledge nor understanding, they walk around in darkness; all the foundations of the earth are shaken. 6 I say, “You are gods, children of the Most High, all of you; 7 nevertheless, you shall die like mortals, and fall like any prince.”[a] 8 Rise up, O God, judge the earth; for all the nations belong to you!

@@Chomper750 let's recap: There are a lot of gods They will die one day (noone here says that are condamned or killed) There is an higher god (that is not yhawe) that is the father of others gods including yhawe Pretty like gods of Olympus... Once you see that it is pure make believe, mythical man made fiction, invented by the human brain and converted into sentences on parchment and animal skins then you can relax and enjoy the show.
