Love, love, love this list! Awesome suggestions. I would also add Mic the Vegan, he breaks down the science in a fun, nerdy way and Simnett Nitrition, he shares awesome recipes, cooking tips, and bodybuilding tips. I also started a channel recently (Even So It Is Well) on living well with MS using a combination of WFPB eating, exercise, sleep, and stress reduction. Keep up the fantastic work! You inspire me weekly!

Thank you guys !! My plant based dietitian said I should not worry about Omega 3 if I consumed enough nuts. I will probably mention the Epa/dha supplement to her .
@EatMoveRest2 жыл бұрын
Yes! It’s definitely important to get EPA/DHA!
@complemented2 жыл бұрын
Getting EPA/DHA from microalgae means you're going directly to the source, and your body doesn't need to convert the omegas. When you're eating nuts and seeds, you are getting ALA fatty acids, which your body needs to convert to EPA/DHA for use! Most people aren't efficient at this process so it's a great idea to supplement with microalgae:)

I watched this video several days ago, and it inspired me to visit these websites and learn a few things. Lots of skeptics in our family and I want to be prepared with information. This video is tremendously helpful. A few months ago I was able to find the statement from the WHO that a well planned plant based diet was suitable for all ages and stages of life, however I have searched google and the WHO website and cannot find it anywhere. Am I missing something or have they removed it? Help? Anyone?

I’ve been vegan for 2 years now. I just did my blood work to make sure my levels are good. Everything was great 👍 except my B12 level is over 1500. I’ve been taking a B12 supplement even before starting my vegan lifestyle. I wonder if eating tofu, tempehs, and beans is making my B12 levels higher than the ideals?
@EatMoveRest2 жыл бұрын
There is no upper limit for B12 so you are likely okay!
@Nadege9492 жыл бұрын
I subscribe (paid subscription) to "Consumer Lab". This is part of their take on taking higher levels B12 than needed : "Although no "Tolerable Upper Intake Level" has been established, there are risks associated with getting too much B-12 from supplements. At a dose of 500 mcg (one-sixth the amount in your supplement), an increased risk of colorectal cancer was reported in a placebo-controlled study of older people. Doses of just 20 mcg per day or higher have caused outbreaks of acne and rosacea. A high-dose B complex supplement (with 1,000 mcg of B-12) hurt, rather than helped, people with type 1 or type 2 diabetes and advanced kidney disease, resulting in a worsening of kidney function and an increase in the risk of heart attack, stroke and death."
