Look at the hair on that baby! Adorable. People can say what they want about their lifestyle but my gosh she looks amazing after giving birth. She is obviously doing something right. I love how they live such a colorful life and the food is so healthy. Keep up the good work!

I was watching this while doing dishes and my 4 year old wanted to watch too because your daughter was helping you make the pancakes and then begged me to make them. We usually use Einkorn flour and no banana. But I said yes and this morning we made them with rolled oats and watched your video again and she loves the pancakes! They’re really good! Please do more “cooking” videos with the kids!! It’s so hard to get my toddler to try new things but this was her idea!

What do you do for the pain? What do you do for recovery is what I want to know. Do you foam roll? Rest? Stretch? Also, thank you so much for addressing food wars. It’s super confusing especially when you’re trying to heal health issues. I think a lot of influencers try to tap into your fears and insecurities…offer you a diet that is lacking. I know you both are well educated in eating whole foods plant based that’s why I keep coming back here. I would be up for a more I depth video on this, or if you ever do a podcast with time to debunking the myths.

Oh also, Dusty I have a suggestion. You should do a real time, so not sped up, video of a scenic bike ride set to music there in FL. Maybe find something outside your neighborhood for privacy reasons, but that's a really pretty area near you guys. It would be fun to watch while on the treadmill or stationary bike. Good motivation anyway!

I already eat whole food plant-based. I am infatuated with that little baby doll on your lap. I want to say months ago that I figured I could go back to eating some animal products like egg whites, salmon, and turkey. After one month, my hot flashes came back, and so did my asthma. Nobody could ever tell me I can still eat healthy with animal products. I went back to eating plants only, and the hot flashes and asthma are gone again. Plus, I love the 62 lb weight loss I got with eating plants.

@EatMoveRest Yes, they are. I wish my siblings listen to me. My younger brother had a small stroke, which I call a warning, and two heart attacks. He started eating only plant-based, and one day, my son showed me a post on Facebook where my brother was showing the food he cooked. He said, "I guess he stopped listening." A year later, he had his second heart attack. I also told my older brother the same things. He just found out he needs a bypass. He won't stop eating those horrible foods. Soul food is deadly for African Americans. I told them my high cholesterol went from 253 to 123 without meds.

Such an inspiring family! I strive to live like you all. As a SAHM, it’s tough to find the time and energy mentally to get through fussy eating times and not give in to available and easy when my kids wont eat my fruit/veggie and bean plate. Ever thought of a family retreat where people can bring their kids?? I have two very young ones. Wanting to get them away from the hustle of “typical” way of life and eating and get them into this lifestyle. This could be a fun family getaway and help remind us why this lifestyle is important. With close family and friends who dont understand or agree, it can make life feel isolating and make you want to cave sometimes to what they want to give your kids.

Hi! Would you be willing/able to share any information on oxalates, lectins, so called “plant toxins” that are said to cause inflammation? I know this is a big argument for the carnivore/animal based diet. I personally enjoy and prefer eating a plant focused diet and have leaned vegan/vegetarian off and on for over 30 years, but I suffer from digestive, joint pain, and inflammatory results that are far less present when I eat more paleo-ish, high (animal) protein/fats (nuts avocado and some raw dairy)/low carb/grain free and some fruits minimal vegetables. Is it even possible to remain on a plant based diet while omitting these “toxic” plant foods or is the whole oxalate/lectins theory a myth?? Thank you, love your content - your recipes, wellness, and fitness tips are so motivational - I start my Saturdays with you guys and always puts me in a productive and happy mindset for the weekend.
@pinkiepinkster83954 ай бұрын
Watch Dr Brooke Goldner on KZbin. She says to NOT worry about oxalates. Humans are fruitarian herbivores. Meat and dairy and gluten and oils cause inflammation and cancer. Gorillas can deadlift 1800 pounds and they only eat plants. I feel great as a raw vegan.
@ArmindaHeart4 ай бұрын
It’s not a myth. Eating tons of greens is detrimental to health, and raw greens is way worse than cooked. And it’s not just greens that attach to nutrients and prevent absorption. Many plant foods do this. Research is already out there. An omnivorous diet that includes healthy plant AND animal fats (even in just eggs and dairy) helps your body absorb nutrients instead of having to heavily supplement. This family stays away from fat unless it’s avocados, nuts, and seeds. No animal fats which is SUPER important to child development especially! I wonder how they are gaining any benefit from this diet at all; but this lifestyle is also their livelihood, so there’s that.

ok, So I was plant-based for 7 years, last year I started to put on weight pretty fast and simply felt not great. I had my blood checked and USG and I developed an underactive thyroid type, Hashimoto? I was sent to a clinical dietitian and I was told to include fish twice a week and 3 eggs a week... I was supplementing B12, magnesium, selenium, and zinc every day....I am a bit devasted about it .....

I wear an Apple Watch on airplane mode only when I workout, bc I just don’t love having something connected to me all the time…I think we all know intuitively if we are moving enough or not throughout the day and if we’re being challenged enough during a sweat sesh so I try to just rely on that for the most part!
