Completely understand man. I feel that call to natüre too and more when it's all so preacrious and vulnerable. However a very wise irish farmer turned yoga guru told me when i first came to live in the grand chaotic babylon of İstanbul," the chaos of istanbul's main street (chaps and frequent bombs i would add) can be the best yoga in the world. Its easy to be at peace and maintain your state within natüre and away from the numbers (yep a mr. Weller allusion;) but ti do it in the chaos of a city of 18 million means you are closer to zen " ;) we should go back to the trees if there are any left but in the meantime we can love the "four skinny trees" that punch upward towards the sky and whose roots cling strong to the earth though the concrete that tries to separate them from the depths of the universal mother and does everything to surpress them from reaching out passed the limits of the metalic urban sky P.s. almost an empty sonority in essence but man , that song touches me and brings out something in me . The movie ending always crushes me. Because when he wrote in that book "Happiness only real when shared", it just drops a mountain on my soul that I do not have anyone to experience that with. He left everything to be free and live. And in the last moments of his life had epiphany that he cannot be trully happy if he is alone. And I am wandering this Earth alone, while being surrounded by people.

Nearly 40 now and just had an epiphany. We all want out of this rat race. Where we fail is thinking that success will get us out. Ive chased success in hopes of making it to where I dont have to participate in this society. Thats where I failed. I will never make it. Few do following that path. I remember as a youngster reading Jack London and telling people this is what I wanted to do when I grew up. Move to Alaska and live free off the land. I know it terrified my mother and was always discouraged. Gotta be part of society to be something. Biggest lie we are told. Follow your heart. Dont worry about success.
