After watching this, what changes will you make in your environment to help you achieve your goals?

I went through and almost identical heart event as Bob. Thank you for this interview, so often you feel alone going through this and its like an epiphany when you find those that have gone through the same. I thought, so much of who I was had died with that heart attack, and it has taken a long time to learn to grieve the person I once was. One of the best lines I've read about life after a heart attack is "The price for your new life is your old life." The universe has spoken and its time to embrace my new life and bury the old one. Thanks Again! Brian

Stop over thinking and start doing; sounds cliche, but since the pandemic occurred I have allowed fear to control my life...but after watching this episode, nothing in life is guaranteed. I am taking back the reins to my life. As David would say, "no one is coming to save me!"

Ed, and whoever else takes the time to read this, this interview resonates with for this year. While my injuries this year were not nearly as traumatic as Bob’s as an older adult athlete I suffered two injuries this year 6 months apart that required me to heal a total of 4 months not doing my sport which is figure skating. My first injury was a silly fall while I was teaching young kids. My first thought upon hitting the ice and pin shot through my wrist was “oh no! Is this it? Am I done with skating?!” ER, surgery, recovery, back at work and summer comes…working with kids again…..my blade goes over an unseen covid mask that came off a child’s face and I was down again with now my right wrist broken! Now I am super angry!! I knew without a shadow of a doubt I had broken it! More than pain I was mad!! Then worried that my coach would refuse to coach me again! (Of course he still coaches me now)! Surgery, recovery, determined…back on the ice at 10 weeks off. Took my time getting back on it! When Bob mentioned certain things in this interview it spoke to me. The PTSD (I never thought of it as that) but the first time I was on the ice alone I panicked for a few minutes and decided not to do any jumps (I didn’t even injure myself doing a jump). The next time I was alone on the ice I was able to enjoy it much better. But as a 62 year old returning to the ice figure skater, when as a teen I had some double jumps and wanting to achieve some of those again, it can be a challenge to set goals and yet be happy to be able to do what I do. I tend to be very picky about my skills and my coach really helps for me to balance that out. I’m learning to not be upset that I haven’t achieved all that I think I should (like getting my axel back) but to do what I do with joy and gratefulness. The competition part of the interview was very good for me as I’m heading into that and it will be good foe me and fun. Thanks for the great and inspiring interview.

@@briandolan7433 I am the same. I thought I was in great shape, but I had a Widowmaker in March after working out. I did not know about Lp(a) and my doctor and cardiologist did not even test for it. When I became aware, I ordered my own test at Quest and my Lp(a) is very elevated at 298. I wish I knew prior so I could have lowered my LDL under 50 to help offset the Lipoprotein and potentially avoid the HA & stents. I am now doing what I can, but I miss my old life. I miss so much.

-Such an amazing interview with Bob Harper. Here are my key takeaways. -Take time to stay curious and keep learning to find out who you are and try not to tie your identity to what you do . This makes it easier to pivot when adversity strikes. -Acknowledge and Release both the little things and big things and learn to be in the Moment! -In order to make a lasting change You have to divorce yourself from your past and implement new habits for the rest of your life! 3 things to help this is Create Competition, Change your Environment, Create your New Identity!! -Fully support the ones you Love! I wish I could give more than just a thumbs up on this one! I turned 51 last October and many of the things you talk about here are on my mind. I'm not in "bad" shape, but I could go either way from here. I've been eating better and moving more to prevent a medical event from happening. My wife's Uncle had a stroke on Halloween (thankfully he'll be fine) and many of my family members have severe health issues that I don't want. Thank you so much for this interview in particular! It reminds me to keep my health up because I don't want my kids worrying about me like my wife worries about her Dad and Uncle. ❤

Currently stepping in to a season of personal accountability that has eluded me until not. Ironically I thought I WAS holding myself accountable. By the grace of God he has brought people into my life, whether it's in person or people that are friends of friends being an influence in my days of challenge and growth like Ed as well as many others. Surviving a heart attack a 43 years old myself I had a true coming to Jesus moment. I was driving myself to the hospital and remember VIVIDLY talking to God at a stoplight and telling Him "I sure would like to do a lot more for You before I get outta here." I had a supernatural encounter with Peace. Why then, do I let that moment slip away from me in my days of 'busyness"? Probably because I allow distractions take an unhealthy position and don't keep the important things, important. Thanks to Ed & Bob for challenging me to realign today!

Wow I am really looking forward to listening to this interview! I love your interviews on healthy lifestyles, fitness and antiaging.I learn so much new information on the subject and always make an effort to utilize the new tips in my life.I really sympathize with Bob's story because I also had PTSD after having an accident I couldn't walk for a number of months. I needed to find my New Normal and it really frustrated me that I couldn't exercise or run anymore. When I finally got back to walking I decided that I would walk at least four times a week.I've learned to let go of trying to control everything and have come to terms with my limitations .The need to pivot is really important. Acknowledging helps to release it.Gratitude and appreciation are the keys to happiness.Happiness is definitely a state of being. Stop and smell the roses.Life is not guaranteed make each day count! Hey Ed, thank you so much for this video, I learned a lot and just love learning of people's personal goals, especially when they are celebrities on a mission to help as many people as they can. Fame reaches more people and it's great when people use it to help others. Bob mentioned the fear that arose afterward, it's the same for cancer survivors, you tend to wonder if every little thing is cancer related... a headache, etc. But after some time (mine being 6 years) you get tired of being afraid and just need to turn that negative point in your life into a PIVOTAL POINT. I love that so much and am ready to finally do it, not only live better but to stop living in fear of death. Love your show, love you and your energy, thanks for sharing and GOD BLESS and MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

So interesting as I’m listening to this he comments that he was always afraid of death. So right there , it told me that the subconscious mind was focused on the fear of death. knowing what I know about frequency and how the subconscious mind controls what’s going on in our physical reality, his was focus (underlying) was on death.. it doesn’t matter if you want it or you don’t want it , the focus literally manifested. That’s why we really need to do so much in her work, we don’t even realize sometime where our focus is. We’re too busy living ahead of our self and not in the present, sometime we’re not even in the body sometime we’re just rushing to get to the finish line... That explained a lot fir me. Excellent video by the way !! Such great information and so informative. But I have to say this, once you face your biggest fear, It’s a game changer!! He got very lucky, he aloud himself to learn from his experience. You got a 50-50 chance it really depends on you you can take what you learned and make it better or you can allow her to crush you... I’ve experienced a similar situation, and it’s changed my life the same way it’s changed his. You look at life differently, you no longer fear what you feared in the past. You learn to live in the present ( and that is the key, living in the present living in the body slowing down finding the breath and realizing how precious life is) you don’t rush so much any more.. do you understand it’s all about the journey and not about the destinations! It’s a time or you learn to reinvent yourself! If any of you understand frequency you get what I’m saying:) Excellent video ,thank you for sharing all of this. I am sure you have helped so many people, thank you for doing this work Ed, thank you for waking people up and transforming so many lives with this information. You definitely inspired me today even someone who does the work every day , I get down on myself too , I have bad days, i’m still human... and this definitely inspired me and gave me a reality check again today! 🍀❤️

Genetics play almost no role in heart attack risk. This guy did chronic cross fit cardio 5 to 6 days a week. We are not evolutionarily adapted or designed to do this much cardio. Its no wonder he had a heart attack
@yellowgames72 жыл бұрын
To much protein you see alot of fit healthy people have heart attacks but outside body means nothing for health. Protein can kill your liver block your lymph and heavily linked to bowl cancer Longest living people on the planet in the blue zones eat barely any protein 95% plant based diet alot of natural movement. Healthy body is not being ripped in the gym. To much meat or caking whey protein is super unnatural. Genetics are only 10% I believe. If your mum dies of cancer at 50 and she's unhealthy overweight and then you also get cancer at 50 That's not genetics That's eating habits I believe we sit around the table eating the same food breathing the same air etc and then most don't change them habits from family members. Look at raw vegans most of them are some of the cleanest healthier people I've ever seen from there skim to teeth to body. Protein gym warriors are not healthy. Protein isolated on its own never existed in nature. Look at what happens when you isolate sugar from plants its toxic! Get a plant based protein from natural source. Yes I'm assuming that this guy eats meat and focused on body thinking he was healthy blocking all his arteries and lymph system. This interview failed to challange the one thing we do everyday 3x is EAT That's always the focus on health! What was his diet like?
@laurasedivy12982 жыл бұрын
Agree with you. I've always said we don't inherit disease, but inherit lifestyle like diet (and microbiome). It's not genes, but gene expression. Your father's heart disease and cancer is not YOUR lot in life. And I'll add that if you are afraid of dying, you're not prepared to meet your creator.
