I’m also using klonopin for when I have panic attacks as I’m tapering Effexor as well. Thank you for sharing. I’m going to compound once I get to 37.5. I’m at 87.5 now (coming down from 112.5). Been on it for 16 years.

I had to comment and tell you I am on venlafaxine 225mg taking out two tiny micro beads out and it’s been around 5 -6 months and last two day I out of no where had painful churning stomach with hot sweats that your body is all wet and feeling ice freezing cold shivering during sleep sometime in the night it’s fucking inhumane . I hope you get off this one day but do it slow 🦥 and safe . Thank you for sharing 💎✨

i'm on day 32 of no dose whatsoever, a little bit scared, I also use klonopin if the anxiety is unbeareable, and thinking about going to the doctor so they can do the compounding thing in case I need to be reinstated, it was almost a month with no anxiety or anything, but I know this drug has delay or protracted withdrawals, happened once, it was the first time I tried to remove it, anywho since July 2022, started tapering, had been on it for only 5 months, my dose went up from 75mg to 300mg, then in in july 2022 dropped it to 150 then in 4 months down to 0, month and a half later had panic attacks and depression, had to be reinstaed into a dose of 75mg, which I kept on for almost 4 months, then started to taper till late january this year 2024, hope you all the best, you will be fine it just takes time.

The absolute WORST medication I have ever taken. I lost my job while titrating off - one bead less per day until gone - because I was missing things I should have been on top of. I can't believe it's still being prescribed.

What a hell you are living trying to abandon this horrible substance ! I feel so bad for you. Have you talked to your doctor about switching to liquid Fluoxetine ( very long acting ) to make these last withdrawal steps easier ?

This substance made me gain a lot of weight and made me unable to ejaculate, also skyrocketed my blood pressure. Not for me. I'll stay with my Concerta go help me with motivation, mood, focus...with no nasty withdrawals, weight gain, feeling numb or sexually impaired.
