. This is Jackie Chulya, an up and coming lady professional golfer in Thailand. She's smart, fun, motivated, hungry and ENJOYS golf. We played at the Thai Country Club near Bangkok.
FIND HER ON INSTAGRAM: / jackiechulya
www.thaicountr...
It's hard not to enjoy golf when you have rhythm like her. Her swing is so fluid and has taken a lot of work obviously to be this good at golf.

But the main point here playas, is that you DO NOT need to BOOM a ball to play from the club tees to have a good game of golf.
Jackie hits the ball about 230 with the driver and 155 yards with the 7 iron, and around 120 with the pitching wedge. That's right, she is not hitting driver 400 yards in Mexico like DJ or Rahm.
And you want the best part? She jams. She was trying a new putter today and missed a few that would probably have gone in onwith her regular equipment. So a little level par 9 holes, on autopilot, was amazing to watch.
It's just so ZEN. It's so smooth. It's so effortless and on top of that, like with most female golfers I play with, it's just so so so ego free.. She is not tryin to smash it 300 yards after watching Rory do it. She knows her distances AND
SHE USES HER DISTANCES TO GET CLOSER TO THE HOLE WHILE BEING IN TOTAL CONTROL OF HERSELF.
That is the secret sauce here. Jackie knows her distances, she uses the exact distances she has and she does not lie to herself like we do. If you ask her how far she hits each club, she will tell you exactly.
There is no lying, no ego, no ridiculous shots in this kind of golf. I love watching Jackie Chulya play golf and just watching this rhythm and this tempo can bring your own swing to proper levels instead of trying to swing out of your shoes.
Also take particular notice of how even tempered and relaxed she is. This is so key to distance, accuracy, fun and enjoyment of the game. If things go well, great, it they don't, fine. Have confidence in yourself you can climb out of the hole. Nothing is so serious!
Thanks Jackie for a great round.

LOVE these videos of women pros. I'm a 3.0 hcp, and learn so much from their approach. It's not just mid to high handicappers who can take much away from these ladies. (Can't wait for snow to melt here in Canada and get to take it to the course). Started my journey to no-ego, controlled golf by studying In Gee Chun and her game. PLEASE keep with the videos with the likes of Jackie and Bo. All golfers should be watching and learning.

I have been watching a "different" YT channel for 6 months. "Hit it hard", lower your scores like the Pros blah blah. I love this zen like mindset, keep it simple, smooth tempo. Having watched this channel for 6 weeks I have lowered my handicap from 8 to 6 and feel like I can go lower from just keeping calm like Bo & Jackie. What a Playa, awesome!!

So true. I stumbled upon this method when Anika and Lorena were in their prime. I would watch them play and be amazed at the ball striking. Not the distance or flight. They just strike the ball so consistently and effortlessly. It was like watching a clinic every Sunday.

I’ve been watching your videos of the lady pros and my game has improved at the mental level. My course management has vastly improved as well. I was already playing at a +2 hcp level, but I was somewhat playing at a more ego based level. Example of using better course management is w/ hitting a 2nd shot smooth 9 iron instead of a muscled pitching wedge into a heavily bunkered 140 yard green. Play smarter not harder playas!

Hi Matt thanks for your great videos! This stuff is really important as we male golfers can learn so much from the lady professionals! My distances are almost identical to the average lady pro so its great to see how they handle course management. I recently followed an amateur female golfer around 18 holes in a men's professional tournament in Australia. She pre - qualified for the tournament shooting 2 under par from the men's tees and ended up missing the cut after the first 2 days by only one shot. An amazing performance which shows what is possible with the right mental approach, shot accuracy and a killer short game!

In 2001 just a couple of years after I started golf I had a golf holiday in Portugal with my brother-in-law. We played some of the top courses on the Algarve and to be honest I wasn't good enough to do them justice. One day we were paired up with a lady in her sixties and her son, I think it was on Val de Lobo. Anyway she had been Irish ladies champion in her youth. She played the best round of golf it has been my pleasure to watch as a fellow player. I think she was playing off about 8 at the time but she never hit a bad shot, she played within her capabilities, I could out drive her (when I hit straight!) but she hit every green in regulation (to her handicap) and never more than two putted. She was awesome. It took me many years to learn from what I saw that day but I will never forget what a great golfer she was.

Isn't that good? I love the way the ladies just do what they do and there is none of that poefies we try to put on ourselves. It's like we sabotage ourselves into being worse than we are, in order to prevent any success and just fail miserably so we have something to moan about.

With this VDO n last one (Bo) I found that their drive weren’t far (230 avg.), their 2nd shots also weren’t far, e.g. for 140 something yards club used was 6 (in my case I’d rather use 7 for a normal lie) but theirs were very accurate! Their swing tempo were smooth and slow.... so sweet!! I’ll try to play their ways, nonetheless golf is a mind game... whenever I’m about to tee off over hazard like water in front my swing tempo turns to rush from a thought that if I swing not hard enough it’ll end up in water.

I can’t stand when people say they need to hit the ball further. Driving the ball 300 yards won’t do nearly as much as mastering 5-7 foot putts will. So much ego in distance when that’s not gonna do anything to your score. I’m always impressed by someone’s short game skills rather than any long drive I see. Love these videos!

I have played with guys who have no finesse for approach shots. I don't know how many times I have watched them fly the green. Off the tee I just want to put the ball in play in the short grass and let the irons work from there. Whenever I hear a player brag about crushing the ball, I know that I've got him.
@bigtonytwoshoes8184
@bigtonytwoshoes8184 4 жыл бұрын
Lawrence Bogar couldn’t have said it better myself. If someone thinks their tee shot is what makes them good, I know they have a very weak overall play. Approach shots >> everything imo. That’s the hardest/most important aspect of the game yet is the least glamorous by far. You don’t (usually) hole it, and it’s a range anyone can consistently reach so you only stand out through consistency which takes multiple rounds to compare

Great video, really enjoyed it. With tee shots, I usually tee up on the same side as the danger and that allows you to hit away from it, better angle. I don’t mess with shot shape too much as I don’t have that level of control, certainly not with driver/3 wood.

@@GolfSidekick after watching your videos for quite a while now, i've slowed down my swing a lot already. i also shortened my backswing a bit and noticed that i didn't really lose any distance, because i now manage to hit the sweet spot of the club much more consistently.. that together with no-ego-club-selection and course management made a world of a difference and my hcp started dropping again.. I still have quite a bit to go to single digits (17.9 at the moment), but with enough practice and time spent on the course it's actually a feasible target..
