I bought a 2023 RAV4. When I first started driving on expressway, I kept thinking my doors or windows are not fully closed because of the noise level. So much for Japanese quality.

EVs are easier to build and better. Plus you can power them with cheap local energy...no sending gas/petro money to foreign countries.

That is right, upon reaching certain market size. The Raw material becomes close loop. Means you can keep the economic going by keep recycling the material. Aka lithitium. Being self sufficent is key to so call national security. They shouldve aware of that.

BYD and Tesla both manage to reach Economy of Scale to bring price down, is really a simple concept. Making Core components in house also helps, while other Automakers have to source their Batteries from likes of Samsung or LG.

I have often wondered if EV would wind up like the early days of Personal Computers (PC). Anyone (like Dell) could buy the chips , motherboards, power supplies etc. and put together a decent system and sell it competitively. Why wouldn't EVs go the same way? If you go down that rabbit hole, you have to ask: Who will make the components? Like PCs, the hardware parts like motors and batteries will become commodities, almost certainly Chinese. Who will be the Microsoft of EVs? Tesla? Interesting to think on... Perhaps we are seeing the beginning of that with the Chinese vendors.

You can make your own EV. People have been doing that for years, mostly by converting ICEV bodies. But you won't be able to get anywhere close to as good as a well designed, well built factory EV. Remember those homebrew computers? They didn't fit in a notebook, tablet, or phone.

Investing without proper guidance can lead to mistakes and losses. I've learned this from my own experience.If you're new to investing or don't have much time, it's best to get advice from an expert.

I agree. Exactly why I now work with one. A lot of folks downplay the role of advisors until being burnt by their emotions, no offense. I remember some years back, during the covid-outbreak, I needed a good boost to stay afloat, hence researched for advisors and thankfully came across one with grit. As of today, my cash reserve has yielded from $350k to nearly $1m

Nothing wrong with NiMH batteries for hybrids. Toyota uses lithium in EV’s or PHEV’s.
@林振华-t4v
@林振华-t4v 7 сағат бұрын
😂Nothing wrong with it other than it is heavier than lithitium battery. Unable to sustain high current discharge like nicad battery. The momory effect is just as bad as the nicad. The nimh is a such of whole of nothing in the hindsight. How this battery technology took off for a brieft decade is somewhat a puzzles. I know the Nimh did not gain much popularity before it got phased out by lithitium battery in the RC community. It certainly did not replace the nicad battery it was mean to replace for sure

One challenge with maintaining quality as a Chinese car manufacturer is the quality of their suppliers. As a culture Known for cutting corners, it’s difficult for BYD to maintain quality of their supplier or supplier’s supplier all the way down the supply chain.
@bobwallace9753
@bobwallace9753 6 сағат бұрын
Not sure why. BYD is a large scale purchaser and can dictate the quality of the components delivered. Tesla probably does it better due to Tesla embedding their engineers inside their suppliers.

I can believe that Japanese focus more on quality than the Chinese manufacturers. It will take time for the Chinese companies to prove they can make quality, reliable cars that last at least 200,000 miles. Time will tell. Until then, realistically, they must sell them at a cheaper price.

😂There are tons of EV in China piling more than half million kilometers. A handful more than 200k miles. They are ride sharing viechles and Taxi fleet. I get on one in August clocking close to a million. The car is pretty beat up just like another cab with decent mile. The driver said, other than the battery and motor. The suspension is pretty worn becasue he did not bother to bring tha car back to replace those bushing. It is a GAC model for cab. So, there you have it. A speciment of service proven Chinese EV. Lot better than the 2016 highlander I trade in last year. I need to cliam warrenty on the rear brake becasue the stupid thing decided to seized at 20k miles. And the dealer was trying to wiggle off from the warrenty liability until I said I will go to file a complain to Toyota Corporate. 😂
