To normal people this is an incredible achievement. To those of us that are runners, this is absolutely INSANE.

There is no way to know that one will break such an incredible record. Day-form always plays a significant role. That said, he prepared well and there might be no equal when it comes to control and the suffering that comes with such an effort. For those that know how a 2.52min/km pace feels like; to consider someone can do that over 42km, it seems surreal.

It's now apparent than no one can keep with Kipchoge's pace past the 30k mark. To go under 2hrs he will need the Pacers to stay with him at least up to the 35k mark. I don't know why they have to drop off at 25k. It's very demotivating to run a whole 15k without competition/company.
