I have learned round brushes arent always needed...u can use a regular brush...just tilt the brush like your picking your hair and, blow dry the top and work your way down...or flip your hair upside down, blow dry from underneath first. then flip it back up. That helps increase volume. I wouldnt recommend hair products. U want to train your hair naturally

Tonya Hall, product is not an option, it's a necessity. I understand the "all natural thingy" yet grooming your hair or any other area of your body...we need products. 🙂

@@helenwalker5704 AND TONYA HALL - I didn't like to use products until the past year. I desperately needed volume and also needed to add a root lift because my hair is thinning and it needed a REALLY GOOD LIFT at the roots on my crown. I've found several products that are incredible. They make my hair look great!! Grateful I was open to using a good product or two to make my hair look great again.

Yay, I've been doing this for yrs simply to stop the static bc my hair is so long by the time I dry it there's alot of static so I hit the coolest heat then hold the cold button &it makes my hair stay slick&shiny even in humidity. At least I've been doing that right, lol. Thanks for the confirmation.

Omg! Your tip about not rolling the brush made so much sense! My hair always gets caught because that's how I was trying to blow dry my hair with the brush and it makes it hard and is so discouraging when I can't get it right. I'm still practicing but still having a hard time working the brush and blowdryer at the same time. It's like I lose all hand-eye coordination when I have both going, so hopefully with more practice, I can get it down soon! Super helpful video!

It wasn't me you mentioned in the video, but I too have had the experience of getting a [smaller] round brush with stiff bristles (loaned by my roommate) tangled in my fine hair. I couldn't cut it out since I was in a hotel and didn't have scissors, but I was a half hour late to dinner! Anyway, I ordered the e-Salon root lift and went right out to get the BIG round brush. I was standing there in Ulta thinking about the previous tangle crisis and that this was SO much larger than any brush I own when the SA said I could return it if it didn't work out for me. So, today I used it, no tangles, and got a great blowout! THANKS for your great advice!

I know this is e salon, but a great anti frizz is Garnier Sleek & Shine. It's light, used on wet or dry hair, a little goes a long way and it holds your style and volume. I've used it on dirty hair, wet hair, dry hair, frizzed hair ...... one great product. The handle on my big round brush broke off, after many years, think I'm going for a bigger one like yours. Hey, I've learned to volumize my hair over the years from copying hair stylists, and this is the first time I see someone do the complete opposite of blowdrying from top to bottom. If you start from bottom to top, your hair is never in the way, and you don't have to tie your blow-dried hair causing a hair tie line. You'll also look more comfortable, and can structure how you part your hair for blowdrying. this tip is ideal for anyone who has dryer hair/curlier hair because you have better grip and control for consistency. Love your hair!
@jaynedoe3529
@jaynedoe3529 5 жыл бұрын
wherearemymarbles The reason why you should start at the top is because the top dries much quicker than the bottom. If you start at the bottom the top will be almost completely dry before you've had the chance to style it

Take vitamin B, use volumizing shampoos. Dye your hair a color instead of using bleach on it. Bleaching makes it porous, dyeing the hair coats all the hairs in a little layer of dye making it a little thicker.

She does take long to get to the point but her points are well taken; HOWEVER when you go to eSalon website this product only has 2 stars ... so go figure ... you have to sort thru feedback and use your intuition but I have tried so many products from Sally and CVS and brought them back for a refund because they literally did nothing or nothing much. In addition most smoothing products use dimethicone which is indicated in women's breast cancer cells, so kinda scary, plus being tested on animals. I sound like negative but just been around a long time and don't trust people selling stuff, often for their personal gain. She's a sweetheart and delightful, but just sayin'. I did subscribe but always read reviews and make up my own mind.

Silicones are ubiquitous in most skin care asmd hair care products, if there is a strong link to breast cancer, governments around the world (especially in Japan and Europe) would have banned them. Please show me the links to clinical studies that prove dimethicone causes cancer, otherwise please stop spreading misinformation - even water is a chemical.

Thank you SO MUCH for explaining how to use a round brush properly! I had no idea and thought I had to keeping it twisting the whole time. I didn't get my hair caught, thank God, but my hands and wrists wanted to fall off from overuse before I was finished. Quite silly, I'm sure :D Even so, cosmetologists must have enormously strong hands and wrists for the work they do all day long, 5 or 6 days a week. That's incredible.

Lean far forward drying back, then forward from left then right, drying hair about 95% dry. Blowing cool/cold air at roots each time finishing 3 sections. Sitting upright somewhat as she's doing, but much more simplified. If you have really straight hair, after dry, a puff of very light hair spray at roots and maybe a mist all over while leaning forward after hair is dry. Maybe Salon Grafix 3...my favorite was discontinued yrs ago. Simplify what she's doing here. Make sure detangled gently before and as you dry.

FYI when a round brush gets stuck in my hair I use a hair pick and just push the pick through the brush and hair comes right out without any or to much tugging or pulling. Also use an oil stay and your pick for really stuck hair !hope this helps !

@@lindac1985 medium heat won't smooth the hair. High heat is for smoothing and then using the cool shock to close the cuticle and thats what gives the hair that smooth shiny look.

Thank you so much for explaining things so thoroughly! I don't know anything about doing my hair or using a round brush. I've always wanted to use a round brush on my hair because the volume and waves produced by the brush are so gorgeous but I've always tangled my hair trying to doing so and give up. Also, I have very fine straight hair and never knew what size brush I would need and why. I will be subscribing to your videos and buying this brush and these products. I never knew you needed to wait til your hair is 60% dry to put in products and to blow dry. I've always done this when my hair is still super wet. SMH.

Sleeping face to pillow position or on ur cheeks with no hair under ur body, all outside then they won’t get “sweat” and oily during sleeping. Add a bit of hairspray before sleep and then brush it out next morning.

I always advise clients to cover the pillow in a satin fabric ie dressing gown that way the hair isn't scuffed around as much during the night.

Have you tried wrapping your hair? You just brush your hair in a circular motion around your head secure with a few pins and a scarf and sleep. I also recommend a silky pillowcase as regular cotton ones leech moisture from strands.
