I know u might don't care, but I just made a decision that I'll try to recover. I'm not anorexic, bulimic, underweight but I definitely don't have a healthy relationship with food, counting calories and with myself. You are such a inspiration for me, really. I'm so proud of you Elzani. And for all of the people that are suffering from ed and are thinking about recovery- do it. ik you might think "i don't deserve it, I'm not even underweight /not even skinny (or what ever your thinking that makes you NOT ENOUGH FOR RECOVERY) it's bullshit. if u want it, u deserve it. make yourself a favor and choose a normal life. 'cause YOU DESERVE A HAPPY, NORMAL LIFE. remember that. stay strong babies🤧💜

I have the same mindset because I have to “recover”. I have to gain weight even though I’m not skinny or underweight because of missing menstrual, which I really hate but I don’t really consider it anorexia recovery for me I just consider it weight gain even though I have bad relationships with food and thoughts

@yourlittle princess we all fear baby:( you have to at least try to understand that your body needs it and even if you're gonna gain some weight it's gonna be ok. ik it's kinda stupid but ask yourself if you want to fear that in 5/10 years and what's going to happen if you don't overcome this fear. i believe in you, you should believe in yourself too❤️

Before you got criticized for crying all the time - and now you're having too much fun and are fake. Some people will always judge and find fault but you have tons of lovely followers who can see how much work you've put in and how much you've progressed. You have always shown a very real and raw account of anorexia recovery (painfully real at times) & you continue to amaze and inspire me. Whenever I feel bad about eating I come and watch one of your videos and they help like nothing else does. Keep going! lots of love xx

This is the most realistic portrayal of recovery i have watched (and i watch ALOT of recovery youtubers). Especially the bit you said near the end about finding it harder when youve eaten less the day before etc. So true. So we know the answer is to EAT. Always. Elzani iv been following you for a long time and im so proud of you... i hope you are proud of yourself too. You inspire me in my own recovery and im sure you do the same to many other viewers- you are putting good energy out into the world and you will be rewarded for this (you already are by reaching a healthier place every day). Please remember this all on the bad days. Sending love from a muslim girl in the uk xxx

Well done Elzani, don't let anyone get you down about anything! I think your an amazing person and your helping so many other people struggling! I can relate to what you think or say and you know what I say to those thoughts? Living a life of deprivation isn't worth it. Keep eating what you want and doing what you do because I believe you can do it! ❤️❤️❤️

Elzani, just like any other subscriber to your channel, I am soo proud of you. I know you have put a lot of effort in this process so that you could reach this position of recovery. And I am very lucky for that. You smile more often, do like "soft" sports and... yes! - you have become a entire different woman (in a positive way, of course :)) But you HAVE to keep going. You are not fully recovered, I can see that. Do as you always do, eat fear foods, break your eating disorder rules, etc. But I think that you should think less about food because (from my experience) that makes your anorexia stronger. And you can't let it win! Stay strong, warrior! xx

Why shouldn’t recovery be fun. You’re getting better. And feeling better for it. Some people are so morbid. Keep doing what you’re doing. Eat everything you want and block out those haters gal
@jacintarene_5 жыл бұрын
leah mulliner I don’t think anyone is saying recovery shouldn’t be fun. There is just a major problem with transitioning from obsessive thoughts about not eating and calorie counting to obsessive thoughts about perfect meals and everything tasting perfect. It’s not always the case that someone can eat perfect meals that are served in a particular way and with a wide variety of different things, you sometimes will have to just eat because you have too and it may be peanut butter sandwiches or 2 minute noodles because maybe you’re broke or you haven’t been to the store. Elzani does an absolutely brilliant job, but I think people would like to know that she’s eating because she knows she has to and that’s how you live, and that she is okay with maybe just eating a boring meal (or just eating crisps out of the bag). Does that make sense? Obvs we only see a small part of her life, but if she’s posting for support and to share her story then those who follow and support her are gunna point out concerns, and if these aren’t issues to Elzani then she can carry on. No hate going on
@leahmulliner64225 жыл бұрын
jacintalovesart just going off what she said. Recovery should be fun. You’re finding yourself again. People need to stop over thinking so into every tiny reason. Do what makes you happy and if she’s enjoying it. She’s enjoying it. She obviously knows all the reasons you just pointed out. All I’m saying is. Have fun. :)

@mariaamspacker71255 жыл бұрын
Elzani, don't worry that someone said you shouldn't be happy. You have spent way to much time not being happy. Enough of that. Time to enjoy yourself and enjoy getting better. I'm sure you still have struggles but remember you don't want to be that person anymore, that person wasn't happy. Just think of all the things that you can do again when you are recovered! You CAN do this, YOUR way, as long as you are doing it healthy, doesn't matter what someone says.

When I was in treatment at The Bethlam, we had a 3 course breakfast. The middle course was Greek yoghurt and tinned fruit. I always chose apricots. At first I was actually too terrified to even taste what I was eating, but when I overcame the fear it was actually the best part of any of the meals I had in a day there and I really looked forward to it!!! I had kinda forgotten about the combo until now. I am inspired to try it again, years later at home!! 😊❤️ Loving the progress you're making. Not in terms of weight or anything like that, but how much more relaxed you are around food and how much more you're smiling! 😉❤️ Keep it up!! 💪💪💪

Elzani I admire you because you give yourself actual snacks and meals. I have the fear of allowing myself an actual meal or snack and just grabbing small smorgasbord of food which makes me even more anxious. But I dont know how to give myself an actual meal because it's like I want everything and I'm always so obsessed with the foods I haven't had for years even if I want something else. It's such a fight in my head.

Sometimes people struggle but don't show it. I understand as I do this all the time. One thing Elzani might have that others don't is an amazing family that support her and understand more than some. I try to recover from my eating disorder sometimes but when I can't stop eating (it's not their fault) as they don't understand they make me feel guilty for it. I've been over weight and I've been very underweight to the point I was told they wanted me to go to inpatient. Eating disorders are not about food and are usually an unhelpful coping skill for something. Everyone is different and have experienced different lives so everyone's recovery is different

@Elzani I love seeds, but somehow these are also my fear food when I eat them as my "snack". But I love adding seeds and crushed nuts on my scrambled eggs as some toppings, and it tastes so good! I want you to try sometimes! ;) Also I add some dried fruits onto my scrambled eggs, which my family says that is a weird combination. lol By the way, seeing you getting better, I mean not just eating more but also you act more energetic and being funny with the cute sense of humor (like when you got a phone call on this video. LOL), brings up my motivation to get better from my ED. Thank you! and your family! and my husband always says I should be more serious facing for my ED and recovery, but I think trying to "enjoy" recovery is not bad things at all. I mean I need to be serious for my "health situation", but people ENJOY eating food which had been really really scary things for us who had restricted lots of food for a long time. And sometimes, trying to have fun let me feel a bit freer and not freaking out. You are super cool!

I just got to the part about recovery being fun. It should absolutely be fun at a point. Those people obviously have not watched from the beginning of your journey, because you used to cry and have to excuse yourself at least once each video. You were still in a very bad place. You can literally see the progress video by video. Don't ever let someone tell you what recovery "should be". None of us are the same, and we shouldn't want to be. Some people just don't know how to process their envy, other than to try to bring what they're envious of down to their level. It has nothing to do with you in reality, only them. Keep on doing your thing girl!
