GO FOR IT!
A great breakfast, still obsessed with greek yoghurt - you need to try it omg life changingggggg and yes I spilt yoghurt all over the fridge but now it is so clean so who's the real winner..
Also Mum made us both a toasted falafel wrap and woooooow it was the best wrap I have ever had!
Pizza bagel just because why not, they're beautiful. I went outside and did nearly burn not even joking it was SO HOT and I made a dinner so good that I had rice twice (and no, it isn't named twice like couscous but rice is so nice they SHOULD name it twice so yeh I had RICE RICE baby). 2 desserts because who wouldn't. Loads of layers, loads of yum.

ELZANI- you know in your heart of hearts that this isn’t right. This level of obsession with food is mind boggling. Why continue posting food videos if it is clearly disordered? Your ED ignores the well-meaning comments on your videos because you know they have truth to them. You’re avoiding something and until you figure out what it is you’re not going to recover/maintain recovery. Wake up honey! Get help so you can get better and get on with your life!

it actually seems to be very complicated in the UK to have this kind of a service. Apparently there if you want help for eating disorders you have to pay yourself and not everybody can afford it. It is so easy to just say that when you cleary don't know why she isn't getting help.

The Leasphere you can pay for private treatment which is very expensive (hundreds of pounds a DAY) You can also get free treatment on the NHS but a lot of people just think they’re ‘re-feeding clinics’ that don’t deal with the mental side. Also you HAVE to be a specific BMI to get in so to be honest elzani might not qualify anymore? She said she went when she was at her worst and she talks about it a lot and tbh she probably wasn’t allowed anymore treatment on the NHS and they gave her the boot......what a fucking mess

Are you blind??? She's doing sooo much better than she was before, less breakdowns. It very difficult to no obsess over food, even when you're doing better. It takes alot of time, positivity, and encouragement. Have you ever had an ED????? If not, you need to sit down and shut up, you know nothing!!! Because if you have, you'd know your comments are not helpful!!!

This must make Elzani feel great to read! Such a beautiful thing to share, sweetheart! Don’t forget how incredibly brave and strong you are. When you don’t feel strong, or worth it, and yet you keep fighting, think of just how strong that makes you! Way stronger than those of us who don’t have to battle the beast in our minds every day. When you do come out on the other side (and your comment proves you will) you will have one up on everyone else because you will have had the experience of fighting for your life and winning. I can’t believe how disgustingly judgemental people are being about weight gain. Weight gain when you are severely underweight is never going to be as obvious as somebody already carrying a substantial amount. In recovery it’s slow, your body takes time to spread out the gain as it hasn’t had to digest things normally for a long time. All of you pretending to be encouraging and then putting somebody down that quite frankly is bloody smashing recovery is awful. Recovering from anorexia is not just about weight gain. In fact that’s only the physical necessity. The real prolonged success of recovery is repairing your mental relationship with food (which Elzani is doing amazingly). Everything follows after that. Bear in mind how long this beautiful girl has struggled. You cannot repair all of that in a year. As somebody that suffered for years with anorexia, I think she is incredible. Should she have been around in my recovery she would have been inspiring. Keep going Elzani, you’re incredible xx

Mimi I’m not quite sure how to interpret your comment? I’m a doctor in my own recovery battle with anorexia so I have been on both sides which is difficult for me. I think my point was that we are all humans as you say! I absolutely don’t think her or her family are “morons” but just as I would with anyone I care about I was suggesting getting her electrolytes and albumin checked because of her ankle swelling. I have no idea if she has or hasn’t but I was just offering her my input as a person who cares about her recovery journey. Nothing less, nothing more. Just being myself.

Mimi Exactly, they don’t know if she has or hasn’t already seen someone about it. She has kindly left the idea there just in case they haven’t already seen a GP, if they have then great, if they haven’t, then the idea has just been given. It’s not that deep

Hi Elzani! I'm new to your channel and I'm loving watching your throughout your recovery. I'm a former teacher and worked in a hospital/unit teaching teenagers who were in hospital due to mental health conditions, including eating disorders. I'm desperate to find a way to work with young people with eating disorders as a result of being so inspired by them. I just wanted to say that your journey is fascinating to me, and I also want to encourage you and anyone else reading to ignore those people who are criticising your recovery. What you put together in a short video is merely s snapshot of your recovery. You show us what you are eating, and you show us how you are challenging yourself every day, with every meal. I can see the fear in your face as you approach each new meal. But you feel the fear and do it anyway - which IS recovery and IS a healthy part of getting better. In my opinion, you are using your words to try to overpower your mind. You are quite repetitive when you're talking about food (to the point that you often caption the video poking fun at yourself for repeating the same word!), and I think that's a great coping mechanism - you keep using positive reinforcements about what you are doing and that helps you to over-ride the fear you might be feeling! Well done you! Recovery isn't just about the food; but these videos show so much more than just you eating food. They show how you've regained a relationship with your family, eating the same food as them, allowing your mum to cook for you (that must be amazing for her!), being able to handle food, stick your whole head in the fridge in order to clean it out...browsing the food in the fridge. Also of this is so positive. So keep going, and keep ignoring the people who think they can't judge you based on a few minutes of your day that you edit into a video. You're on the road, and you are doing so well. Congratulations! xxx

@Mimi I wouldn't say so... anorexia; or any ED to be frank, is a personal body image/self worth issue. I see a lot of comments from people asking about your slow weight gain and if you are in therapy/should be having therapy. It seems a common comment that crops up that I know you don't answer to. I had outpatient treatment for a very short time that simply wasn't helping me at all. The counting calories and meal plans were keeping me in a restrictive state....At that time there was a severe lack of understanding in my opinion as to the best way to treat recovery. So I decided to do it alone after discovering youtube channels from recovered anorexics. For me the all in unrestricted eating and the idea behind neural rewiring through this approach (Tabitha Farrar I know you have heard of her) made complete sense and I got much further in my recovery from this than any "therapist" .... I have a feeling that you may possibly be on this kind of page too. Maybe a short video just outlining your decision will at least be something you can put a link to when these comments come up. Your recovery is your recovery. If you choose not to use a therapist then no stranger can tell you this is wrong if you genuinely feel you are making progress and continue to challenge yourself then you do not need to justify this, just state that this is what you are doing. Anorexics are clever people, we know what we need to do to recover and I truly believe that you can do this without a therapist if you have the mindset and determination. Xx

I'm sorry. I cant watch much longer. I know alot of others like this channel and watching you eat. I came here excited and inspired to see content about anorexia, recovery and all that hoes along with it. Since almost day one it's been vlog after vlog of food obsession and What I Eat in a Day. That may be entertaining for alot of people but I didnt subscribe to be entertained and watch someone repeat the same lines they have been saying for months "Now it's Really time to start recovery. I'm going to do it" From experience I Understand it takes time but this channel is simply a watch me eat vlog. I'm interested in more than this. Like what is your LIFE like!! What do you DO all day that isnt surrounded by food? This is a mental health issue yet you spend your days thinking about and filming food. I truly feel this channel has become a way for you to gain attention and continue your OBSESSION with food and eating and food preparation. Not true recovery. It may sound harsh but as much as you talk, I think you seriously need therapy. I do not feel you are 100% wanting to grow up or recover.
@Hazeydaze92
@Hazeydaze92 5 жыл бұрын
I thought the same for a while, but I think she is showing improvement and is less fearful around new foods. The obsession won't go away over night, and recovery can take a really long time. She is probably gaining but at a slower rate than she could, but recovery isn't easy. I'd love to see some different content, but these sort of videos are also helpful for girls to see how much they should be eating during recovery, and that it's ok to enjoy food. I'd love to see some other content, but it's her channel at the end of the day and I'm not going to write negatively anymore, but instead try and inspire her to keep going. She's such a sweet girl and deserves a happy, fulfilling life. I agree on the therapy though, I couldn't have recovered without it.

@@Hazeydaze92 I do understand where you are coming from, truly. I worry however that she is also showing other girls that being so obsessed with food is okay and normal when in essence she has traded addictions, controls and obsessive tendencies. She also still never mentions therapy which, if she was concerned about other viewers with ED's she would open up about. She never talks about hobbies, goals, future plans or even shows that she is slowly working towards those things. Her channel is all food, all the time.

I feel the same. I don't know how she's gaining so many subscribers because this isn't really the best example there is of recovery on KZbin. I suspect it's a lot of people with eating disorders or disordered eating who enjoy watching her eat these things because they "can't." I've thought about making my own videos about my recovery but I know I'm not far enough along yet that it would actually help anyone, I think it would trigger people more than anything. When people comment “you haven’t gained enough weight” or “you arnt recovered” or any other observations. I’m not saying it’s wrong to comment those things . But people need to be aware of the kind of strength and time this takes . I am just happy you keep going and that I see a difference in every video. I just know people will never understand recovery until they been there which is just the way it is ... 💗

You are super inspiring, I’m so glad you find it helpful to post what you are eating & enjoying the goodness of food & new tastes - I recommend trying Lilds deluxe cheesecakes 😍😍 the chocolate is lushhh😍 I find it helpful to take photos of my food and send it to a friend or mum just so I know I’ve eaten & it’s good (they also send me some of their food so I don’t feel like a weirdo lol) it’s been a long road my I have a much healthier mentality towards food than I did years ago & it’s so so worth it - getting better makes your world much bigger & definitely beats being trapped in your head x

Looking back on your videos I can see the progress you have made. Nothing worthwhile happens overnight. Keep your eyes on the finish line and may the Lord give you much Grace. I also admire your mother and her steadfastness in her support of you along your journey. Curious as to what brand and shade of lipstick she uses. Thank you.

Compared to her first video, she has gained a little, but is sadly still very underweight. Small progress. But I think Elzani is taking a good approach, she’s repairing her relationship with food. I hope it works for her!

She has gained, when you have been that I'll, it takes an incredible amount of time to gain back a healthy weight. Could be months or a year to 3....you can eat crazy amounts, more than what's comfortable, and not gain for a long time. We are not her, you can't tell someone to eat more, eat more.....when they already are!!! She looks soo much better!!

Aaawww..it is beautiful outside, haven't seen bready in a while...aawww...damn that is a cleeeeean fridge, nice, that's totally me lol. Lots of yummy puddings and yogurts. Brekkie- great! Eggs On a bagel, I like when you change it up. Glad you created something you enjoyed, well, every time. Snack- ooooh your on a yogurt kick lol that's totally OK lol. With fruit hell yes, I just had that yesterday as well. Soy yougurt with an apricot and a donut peach 🍑 with cinnamon, it was Devine. Strawberries must be amazing very fresh. Lunch- yes let others like Mom cook for you, I have noticed the difference, yeay, achievements... finishing first than Mom 👍👏 your sooo happy aawww... Yas not counting bagels lol...but Yas pizza bagels with squiggly cheese and yummy sauce. Hear that crunch.👌 I got ity-bity hairs too. Oooh rice vanilla custard that's new...lol Coldplay niiiiice🎤🎶 I want to try like I use to have before..some veggies and hummus looks yum. Lol Blaze 😅 adorable 🖤 you are doing it! 💃 Dinner- ooooh nooo it is bad for your tummy to eat raw potatoes nooo. Lol. More yoggie hells yes! Your frittatas always come out Soo "perfect" especially when you cut it. So, nice lovely walk. Aaauuuww.. Dessert- OMG!!! I love the saying lol. Devine time every time lol. M&S Million dollar shortbread... and trifle with the layers lol. So you adorable 🖤 yes it's amazing and great that you allow yourself, you did fancy it and just did it...your trying to have a better relationship with food now as well. No never never to much. What kind of goals do you want to set up? Have you already had several goals in mind? Snack- hell yeah, snacks can be rice too or you can have seconds. Just don't think about it to much...it's what you fancy with more (nodding head yes).💪💕 Omg, that's me, I get swollen adema ankles too. Just elevate your legs/feet it will help. Standing long periods of time will not help since gravity is pushing the water retention away from your heart...I recommend elevating them, did this lots in the hospital, I used pillows or a wedge. Love you Elzani your amazing, inspiring, beautiful, hilarious, courageous, caring, intelligent, interesting, lovely, creative, talented, and much more.🖤💜👏🤗☺️🦋🕊️😊👍💪💞

hey, absolutely no hate but recovery is about eating anything you want and as much as you want, when i started eating intuitively again i wouldn’t film it or take any pictures of it.. i 100% listened to my body and cravings, eating in true recovery is like binge eating but actually its not, its making up your thousands of missing calories and refeeding yourself. i remember going to the groceries and buying pastries and chocolates and stuffing my face with them until i was so fucking full, and in a short time my strong fear of gaining weight and high/unknown calorie foods are disappeared. and yes i gained 25+ kg in 3-4 months but i reached a healthy weight plus a healthy mindset/relationship with food.. after eating tons of food for 3 months my obsession and EXTREME hunger calmed down, i could finally eat like a normal human again (i mean normal amount and normal meals). in true recovery there’s no calorie limits or rules, its about making up your missing life
