EMDR for Trauma (Transform Your Negative Core Beliefs) \\ This video uses EMDR techniques to help you identify your core negative beliefs, and then provides tools to transform those beliefs into positive beliefs. Trauma causes us to develop negative core beliefs.
This video uses an EMDR visualization, an EMDR technique, as well as butterfly tapping (a gentle self hug), to help you transform your core negative belief into a positive cognition and more adaptive beliefs. If you feel there is “something wrong with me,” EMDR can help you identify the core trauma that caused this. Barbara Heffernan has been helping people recover from anxiety and trauma for over 15 years. She is an EMDR Approved Consultant. EMDR can help with trauma. However, with complex ptsd and complex trauma, the EMDR process is more extended, though it can still be very helpful!

barbara thank you. you have heiped me very very much. english is not a language i can express myself in a liteture way but i can express good enough. i started exploiring my inner self 21 years ago with the help of a psycologist. i discovered that my mother treated me and still was treating me like a doll. according to her i shouldn t have feelings on my own. i should live only the way she wanted at the moment. she changed moods and decisions very often. i strggled a lot all these years . i ve tried many techniques. one of those was auto suggestions. i record my voice and was listening to the recording. in this way i managed to have self esteem enough to manage my life in a better way.

If you're in bad health how would you change that to positive thinking? My anxiety can get so bad just by my arm going numb that I will think I'm having a stroke and cause a panic attack. That panic attack will then turn into a seizure.

hello, are we triggered in an emotion as a consequence of an unconscious limiting belief (no…) OR is the emotion (physical sensations) first in case of a trigger and then follows the belief to not feel the emotion? or both? thank you

Thank you. I watch your videos with A4 sheets. About mid-way, I rewind and watch again with pause-play to take notes. Although your videos are of perfect length, they are not lengthy nor short. But, By the time I'm done my sheets are almost filled. I put some of key ideas in my journal too (I keep event journal instead of daily journal) so that I may remember them. What you told at 8:45-9:18 was real eye opener for me. I'll try to be careful what I feed to brain. My experience with this video was: When I tried to remember the uneasy events from past, It made my chest heavy. And I felt overwhelmed. But exercising butterfly technique made it lighter. Difficulty I faced: Hard to pinpoint past events for negative core-beliefs as it's hard to understand which event was significant or cause. You made me realise something new today: In past, I was more focused on negative effects of past events. Instead of the event itself. I used to shun my thoughts about past events, but I used to think about the results of those events a lot. And that was my mistake, I was reinforcing the negative effects without even realising their origin. Finally, Thank you so much. You are a godsend. I'm not an expert but you've put your heart in creating these videos not just brain and I think that's what makes them so helpful. Apologies for such a long comment. Regards,

Hi Abhijeet: Thank you so much for telling me all this! Your comments brought tears to my eyes - I am so happy this was helpful for you! By the way, what is an A4 sheet?
@AbhijeetVermaEE
@AbhijeetVermaEE 4 жыл бұрын
@@BarbaraHeffernan Honestly, That was not my intention though. But your response shows that you care. I wrote that to give you feedback and as example for people going through tough times. The work you're doing is impressive and truly inspirational. Sorry to make it confusing. A4 Sheets are just standard copier paper of 8.3 in × 11.7 in (blank on both sides). Slightly lengthy than 'US Letter'. Engineers call that A4 sheet. Again thank you for creating this channel and I hope & pray that you achieve what you wanted to achieve with this.. Regards,
