I don't care if some random dude on the internet sees my husband as a "weak man" for not having children. I love my husband. We chose the childfree life because we have no interest in having children. Weak or strong don't matter. Children should be 100% wanted and there's a 0% want here.
@crazycatladystudios Жыл бұрын
I think that's a completely valid decision. People should stop having children just for the sake of it only to bring them into a world where they can't be fully nurtured or taken care of, and people also shouldn't feel pressured into having children before they are/when they're not financially or emotionally ready. I'm happy for you and your husband, and I also think your username is quite an apt choice :)

That is a walking win right there. If you don’t think you could handle raising a child, don’t do it. Exactly this. Also, the gall of having children/animals when you cannot properly care for them or they would be raised/live in an environment not suited for them is just plain evil. We want to have children, but only if we can properly care for them. Right now, we are both earning well and saving for a house, but I am contracted only for a foreseeable time. Once that changes, we'll look for houses and go for it. But if you force life, no matter in which form, in an unstable situation - and parenthood and animal ownership is exactly that, if you cannot afford or guarantee it - , you behave very, very egoistical.

7:28 So for clarification, Jared Shapiro is the name of the character who is attracted to Blossom and the man pictured, named Jacob Goldman did not write himself into the show, but was added as a character as a joke due to him resembling a stereotypically "nerdy" character. This was confirmed by Jean Woo, the official Cartoon Network spokesperson in an interview who also went on to clarify that writer Haley Mancini and co-executive producer Bob Boyle were the ones who created the character and it was storyboard artist Grace Kraft who decided to model Jared after Jacob and to have him voice the character. Jacob Goldman did not create the character and merely provided the voice. He is also not the creator of the reboot. TL;DR The PPG reboot tried to make a reference to one of its crew members but it came out with really creepy implications in a show with already inappropriate content for younger audiences.

Robin, as a mother of 5 I need to tell you how proud I am of you for understanding the complexities and hardships of being a parent! When kids are little they're all over the place either a threat to themselves or the cat! Always on your toes til age 8 or so! Then as they get older its still hard. They won't eat mice turds but your kids now got other, more worrisome concerns. And no matter what! No matter how many times you tell them they're loved and appreciated or hugged too much or not enough, there's always something you're terrified of messing up, and will it affect them more than you know.... Who knows! Being a parent is the worst and best thing ever. And usually, adults without kids aren't as sympathetic or understanding as you are! Emkay is my absolute comic relief twice, sometimes 3 times a day. So hearing you give such support is heartwarming. Your mum should be very proud of you, You're a great kid XOXO.

They push me to fall from a set of stairs, they manipulated me to pay for their stuff, they Put a live BLACK WIDOW into my backpack(im arachnofobic) and thats the light things they did to me, a guy that was like me was pushed out of the window injurying himself because he didnt liked how they were treating him, and a lot of Abuse from my classmates, the teachers pretended to be blind until i said enough and defended myself from a bully that was cutting my arm with his friends not letting me escape (i still have the scar in my right arm) the bully was set innocent even tho i was bledding, they sent a report to my mom which was very happy for me defending from a bully since she was also super angey at how they treated me, my family always loved me and supported me and its the reson why i havent offed from this world, im always glad to count with them, its been time since all that happened and i when i remember all thst i wonder: How people can be so cruel? it’s always sad to me to see how often the difference in socialization for men results in radicalization & (sometimes violent) hatred towards others in response to being socially outcast. i know exactly what it’s like to be an outcast too (i’m gay, trans, autistic, like anime & other “cringe” things, not traditionally masculine/attractive, have trouble talking to people, you name it), but it’s never once crossed my mind to turn my frustration with my own loneliness against other people as heavily as these people do (and i think i should be very grateful for that). i also really liked the whole sentiment about confidence being the key to everything, i’ve also found that no matter how difficult life gets, the only way to make friends & have experiences that actually made it a little easier was to lean into being who i am & let the people who matter come find me themselves, instead of just wallowing in shame over the fact that some people might reject me for it. it also helps to make a genuine effort to just be open to other people, even as someone who is very socially awkward i’ve made plenty of friends (a lot of whom share my interests) just because i was willing to have a pleasant conversation with them when approached rather than antagonizing them immediately because of my own self-esteem issues. sometimes the reason people don’t want to be around you is because you act like an asshole and it’s unpleasant

Man, having genetics for a neckbeard really screwed me over in the online space. First I can't call myself a "nice guy" to describe me and I gotta shave in order not to look like the stereotype? At some point I just don't care.
@shadowsorceress5958 Жыл бұрын
Hey, I hope this doesn't come off as condescending, but if these things are genuinely bothering and worrying you, here's a bit of advice 1: "Nice" is a bare minimum term. The neighbour across the street you kinda know is "nice", your substitute teacher is "nice", your parent's friends are "nice". Have more confidence in yourself. Are you creative, adventurous, honest, extroverted, sarcastic, laid-back? This is in reference to dating though. People won't be interested just because someone is nice. Plus, a lot of people who say "I'm a nice guy/girl" are actually not that nice because when you are a nice person, it should be evident. Not saying this applies to you though, just something I've noticed online. 2: It's less having a neckbeard itself, since you can't help where hair grows, and more the idea of being unkempt and messy. The stereotype of a neckbeard is someone who doesn't look after their hygiene, possibly due to low self esteem. It's not putting effort into your physical care and appearance. You don't need to look like a runway model, but things like, showering, washing your clothes, having a skin care routine, or trimming your beard if you have one Again, I hope this doesn't come off as condescending. We all have our insecurities, and I just don't want you feeling like you've been completely screwed over by something you can't help. Hope you have an awesome day!

Because for some reason neck bearded men decided to become the most moronic hooligans to ever exist. And thus, when people see me, they assume too much and you already see where that goes. First, remember what the title of the show is called. They're _little_ ponies. Second, I would say Princess Celestia is closer to RL pony size, meaning that most ponies in the show would be smaller than average.

12:32. Everytime I see a comment like this I always call it out. Yes, there were people who were into anime and nerd culture who were bullied not because they liked that stuff but because they did creepy or weird shit. However let's not pretend like people weren't bullied and teased for liking anime and nerd culture especially if it wasn't socially popular or accepted. The reason why shit like this bothers me is because around the time when anime, videogames, comic books and nerd culture started to become mainstream, people would say this crap about you not being bullied for liking that stuff to make it seem like these hobbies were always socially accepted. As if there wasn't a generation of people who were bullied and socially ostracized for simply liking that stuff, as if they didn't have to hear parents and govt. officials calling them violent devil worshippers for liking that stuff.

Dude... kids have been bullied for liking certain music genres or films. Kids have been bullied for being goth. Kids have been bullied for being gay+. Kids have been bullied for the way they dress or look. Kids get bullied for being autistic etc... Kids have been bullied for anything you could imagine. Liking anime is not some special category for reasons to get bullied. I got made fun of for liking Scooby-Doo. Alright? Kids are awful to everyone including their own family or pets. I remember metal heads being called Satanists and being told they weren't allowed to wear certain clothing. Everyone gets bullied. Anime ain't the only mocked genre.

8:00 This meme isn't entirely wrong, but it's presented in a very misleading way. People care about what _sounds good._ Being able to play at a high level means absolutely dick to anyone but other musicians, if you aren't playing to appeal to a wide enough audience. Nobody wants to dance to something played at 200 bpm and with constant tempo changes. The top image is basically summed up as "just because you _can_ do something doesn't mean you _should."_ Meanwhile, slower, softer, less complicated songs are often written with a sound explicitly intended to evoke emotion in the listener. And the song doesn't even have to be about girls. It doesn't have to be about anything, as long as it has a sound that catches your feelings.
@trashwebsite_user01 Жыл бұрын
I agree that a song doesnt have to be complex to be good and some of my fav songs are very simple yet society really doesnt give complex music the attention it deserves... people these days lack the mental capacity to comprehend that kinda music which was not the case 15-20 years ago... back then a lot of popular music was complex in one way or another... good artists were rewarded more for their creativity n less for their shock value.... even good slow soft music is becoming endangered these days... what i find is people just jerk off to mumble rap or other narcissist hedonistic materialistic hate mongering lyrics with bad out of tuned music made up of a shitty baseline over an equally shitty beat. Im sure i can find talented musicians even today with good positive messages but their numbers are definitely on the decline. Its all about putting out more attention grabbing controversial content in the least time possible these days... efficiency is suitable in a factory but when it comes to art... people should take their time... quality over quantity. Low/no barrier to entry and an musically uneducated audience means anyone can download a sample n vomit into a microphone, use autotune, drop the n-bomb, the f-bomb etc n find success these days.

TL:DR at the bottom of you don’t want an in-depth explanation. I'm going to defend 16:52 because I've seen and experienced this effect; something you loved since its conception and at its prime, then getting “wow you like that” from everyone, it then gets remade in the modern era and everybody loves it like; “oh we always liked this”. Take Thomas and friends. I still watch the first 4 seasons of the show because it's just really good, and I've seen this type of interaction. For context, Thomas the tank engine isn’t the basis for the show. Hell, he's considered the main character, but the source material didn't even start with him. The railway series of books has existed since 1945, and the final one was allegedly released in 1972, Thomas and friends, the show didn’t exist until 1985. The TV show wasn’t animated; they used real, physical models. And while sure, CGI makes for great scenes, nothing will ever beat watching actual models being driven around a hand-made landscape. There were even multiple scenes and episodes that destroyed said models (mostly ‘man made’ structures like bridges and buildings). Meanwhile, fast forward to 2009 with the CGI era, a strange shift for sure but some enjoyed it, most stuck with the model era just because it looked cooler and they grew up on it. Eventually, almost everyone decided that CGI was good, not nearly as good as pre-2009 and nowhere near seasons 1-4 but it was good. Now, fast forward even further to the shit Thomas, aka season 25 or as it’s officially called; all engines go. It's a blatant kids show at this point and nobody really likes it because it's effectively just like any other kids show, they even switched from full 3D CGI to 2D animation. Because of this, the collective Thomas fandom has regressed to the CGI era, and the model era. And the fact that this even happened makes everyone else who originally think that Thomas and friends was a kids show, say; “yeah I love the model series. This is bullshit. Just because you see the current state of the show and think “wow this is bad I'm going to watch what everyone else says is good” doesn’t mean you like the ‘golden era’ as it's referred to. If you say you dislike it or hate it, you can’t just turn around and say you like it because everybody else says that. I’m a part of Gen Z, but I grew up on the model era and even still have the DVDs to prove it, and even though I was growing up around the time of CGI, I just preferred the model series. Part of this is my fascination with any kind of mechanics, which is why I was drawn to trains and more importantly, Thomas the tank engine. The fact he was a steam train and not diesel electric made it even better. So the TL:DR, I've seen and experienced this type of interaction before and I can relay it to CGI Thomas and how the show fell off

Your not weak because you don't want kids and you aren't strong if you do. Its strong to make a life decision if you reevaluate it every so often. I never wanted kids. I helped with my sister and buddies, then i met my wife and had two kids. I gave it a lot of thought. And then thought some more because they are both special needs. 15 years later and we just paid off our house, the oldest is married and the youngest lives with us. Its not always perfect.. its rarely perfect but it works. We are happy healthy and safe. Make choices based on your ideas not out of social standards.
