4:11 as someone who dumpster dives, there are a lot of reasons, the main reasons me and my mom do it is because she's currently homeless so we can fins things to fix and sell, and the second is because stores will throw away food that is perfectly in date and not recalled due to it not selling instead of donating it to food banks. We found over 80 cans of Tomato soup that would have expired in 2023, a whole year from when we found it with the document for tax write-offs along with a bunch of granola that would have been expired in November, which would have been months after we found it, not to mention all the perfectly good soaps, deodorants, medicated dog food (luckily the bag wasn't cut like usual), live plants, ect. Say what you want about dumpster diving but it really can help people.

A lot of you may know that autism is a spectrum, not everyone with autism will exhibit the same symptoms. Yes, some may have speech impediments and mental deficiencies (And not just that, but those were mentioned in their comment), but not all autistic people do. Oftentimes, people can have autism and you wouldn't know, have they not tell you. For those who didn't know, never act like that complete ass of a person they are. We as a community aren't always perfect, but when you don't know things, you can always learn and correct your mistakes. Thanks!

Very late: for the paw print one I would do a resin pour into the mold before it breaks, then chip off the leftover clay. You’ll have a new paw that you can use for new molds or just keep the resin paw

Also, oily mold release agents will seep into model magic, making it even weaker. Depending on how attached they are to the original clay piece, they could: A: If they aren’t concerned about potentially damaging the original clay piece, they could use an epoxy putty ( like JBWeld or Apoxie Sculpt,) or other putty fillers like wood filler to fill the cracks, gently/carefully sand any raised portions of putty when cured then seal it with something, preferably a surfacer (automotive primer works well.) once that’s complete, they could coat the object with a thin/even layer of mold release, then use a silicone molding kit to make the mold (both alumilite’s Amazing Mold Rubber and Amazing Mold Putty would work, but the putty version cures faster and makes a lot less mess than the pourable Mold Rubber kit.) Once the mold has cured, they can remove the object, coat the inside of the mold with mold release, and use the casting material of their choice (most vet offices use plaster of Paris to make paw print memorials, but resins like a two part epoxy may be more drop resistant) B: If they would like to preserve the original clay piece, they could press anything pliable into the indented paw print. Modeling clay can be used, but is only really good for a “one time use” only. Ideally, you could use a silicone mold putty for a permanent, reusable paw stamp. (Mold putty can be expensive, but you can find sample size quantities online.) Once you have your paw stamp, find a container with your desired shape/size for the memorial piece than can ideally be cut open for removal (takeout soup and sauce containers come in a variety of sizes and can be cut open.) Use a mold release to grease the inside up, then pour your casting material in. If it’s plaster of Paris, you can either wait for it to begin solidifying to press the paw stamp in, or find a way to suspend it at the surface of the plaster. If you want to stamp it, pay attention to the cure time in the instructions and watch for when it begins to solidify. When it is firm enough to hold shapes without them sinking, stamp it in and it let it sit for the remaining few minutes. If you don’t want to risk missing your window before a full cure or are using resin, you should suspend the stamp in place. Leave a bit of putty above the main part of the stamp to poke a hole through and thread with a string, then hang it from a pencil across the top of the container. Make sure the string is long enough for the paw print portion of the stamp to sink into the material. Wait for it to cure, and presto! New memorial puck.
