When this workout came out I used only 5 kilo and had to drop 2 reps each set. Just done it for the second time today and I used a 7 kilo and did all the reps and almost the same tempo as you PJ. I am super proud of my progress and truly it is only because of your workouts that I have been constantly doing since January. A big huge virtual hug of thanks to you.

I’m also a PJ, 48 year old pretty high level road runner (2:48 marathon at the age of 47). Joining you from Windsor, NS. This is my 2nd workout with you and I loved it! I’m transitioning from performance related running to just running for the love of life I just set up a home gym space and am putting a new priority on strength work. So deviated from the April calendar a little today and chose this as my strength workout. I last did this workout 5 months ago and I cannot believe the difference today!! 5 months ago had to pause a few times and used 6kg (12lbs) weights… this time I managed to go big with my 10kg (20lb)!! Once again Pj , cannot thank you enough, I keep your voice in my head as a mantra ‘consistency is the key’ and you are so right!! It really works, I’m really seeing gains and I feel fantastic that I’m actually achieving and improving all the time. After all these years of working out it’s an absolute revelation!! Pj you are my one good thing that came out of covid and lock downs!! So very glad I found you on you tube. Thank you again for all the no BS advice and killer workouts!😀

I’ve been doing the weight training consistently now for most of the year and feel amazing (well most days:). With PJs inspiration, a few dumbbells AND an inner voice that says ‘there’s no reason you can’t get this done’ I show up because PJ does. Some days are hard but most are ok or better! Coming at you from Kincardine ONT and just passed the 60 yr mark. Looking forward to another 5, 10, 15… years with Fitness with PJ. Ps So happy to have a Canadian who understands weather and lockdown days. Thank you PJ!

Enjoyed this workout. One question. I carry a lot of fat in my upper body. I want to shape my back, shoulders and arm so I don't look like a football player with shoulder pads. I have a pinched nerve in my neck so I can only do but so many reps. Will lifting weights help me build and shape my upper body or make it worse? thank you.

Sorry, you can't spot train (ie. lift weights and lose body fat in that area). So, if fat loss is what you want I recommend you address your diet as well as do a regular strength training program.
