I went to high school with one of the writers, Tom Szollosi. Buddy Revel was based on one of my fellow classmates, BARRY Revel. Barry was a jock that was always getting into fights. I get a big chuckle out of this movie because Tom used some of our teachers names and student names as well as Barry.

One of the plot holes in this movie is that buddy knocks out 3 seperate people with one punch each...the guy in the library, who supposed to be so tough he twice got paid to fight for someone else, the security guy, who he knocked out cold, and the principal, who was down for a long time. Yet he hits wimpy little Jerry with a clean punch and Jerry is down for a bit but not out

THE indiscreet hair or The inopportune bald... at minute 4:16 in the lower right part when they make an open shot of the fight zone with a crane, the "INDISCREET PELÓN" appears, a guy who is not a student at all and who stares at the camera... apparently an extra who didn't know how to do the job or someone from the production who left the take...
