ENFP & INTP Romantic Compatibility

As an INTP, I am logic based. But it does seem like communication between ENFP (My Best Friend) and I (INTP) is key. I do find myself adapting to ENFPs nature and adoring it. It inspires me quite a bit. As an INTP, I like perspectives and enjoy the theory as to how an ENFP arrived to where they got in their minds about any issue. To be honest, ENFPs loving nature and embracing aspect as a person, really opens me up to physical touch and emotional endurance.

Hi @Cyblade83, Thank you for leaving a message about the video. It's good that you are inspired by a Feeler's perspective and warm nature. I'm surprised that as a Thinker, you consider a Feeler as your best friend. Does this friend confie in you and feels that you understand her better than anybody else? Notwithstanding your bond, a close friendship is different from a long-term romantic relationship because the latter involves the merging of two lives. That's why I advocate that like attract like because in the long run, most relationships end because of irreconcilable differences. I trust that this clarifies my point of view. J.M.

@@practicalspirituality7447 Yes, they confide in me about anything and everything and our connection is stronger than any relation we've ever known. it is romantical. we can't imagine ever being apart. But I'd like to add, my ENFP is logical as well. I'd say he's quite balanced to be fair.

ENFP female dating an INTP man. We're both Christians and well rounded. I think we amuse each other with our differences and he is really great at meeting my needs when I speak up even if it does nothing for him (ie holding hands on a walk or what has become 3 hour periodic phone dates). Communication is so key in this relationship. You two don't think the same, but similar enough to understand and compliment each other.

Hi Walking Scripture, Thank you for leaving a comment about this video. You're fortunate that although you're very different from your mate, you seem to have a happy union. However, for the vast majority of people, like attract like. Consequently, most romantic relationships end because of "irreconcilable differences". J.M.

I’m a 50+ year old INTP-A dating a 50+ year old ENFP, and so far, this has been one of the best relationships I’ve had. BUT…I am an evolved INTP, meaning that through therapy, education and my own efforts, I have learned how to be more in touch with my emotions and be more empathetic towards others. We have our differences but we balance each other out quite well.

Hi @6thMessenger, As a rule of thumb, Thinkers can't meet Feelers' emotional and spiritual needs, which is the core of any romantic relationship. You seem to be in a fulfilling romantic relationship - so enjoy it! However, this is the exception, not the rule. J.M.

Hi @layrafaytel7219, It's possible that a man is right-brain dominant whereas a woman is left-brain dominant. Personality types are distinct from characteristics such as sex, sexual orientation, age, ethnicity, talent, intelligence...etc. J.M.

@@Zurab_Rob I'm unsure of such statistics. However, it would be a society that has a larger percentage of Intuitives. Based on the late world-renowned spiritual teacher and psychiatrist Dr. David R. Hawkins, it would probably be a Western World country that calibrates at least at the level of Acceptance (300's) in terms of its Level of Consciousness. J.M.

@marykaybylashanda5855 It's difficult for me to comment on your romantic relationship because I can't confirm that you're an ENFP and your husband is an INTP. Furthermore, it's rather unusual that an INTP would be a devote Christian. Since you seem happily married, you probably chose the right partner. However, I still advocate that like attract like, and I discourage Feelers from mating long-term with Thinkers. J.M.

Hi @MaverickRenegade80, Based on my observations, INTPs usually have a negative view of religion and instead trust the scientific method. In other words, science tends to be INTPs' "God". J.M.
