Amazing insight. Makes you think about the disparity in resources between the big unions and the tier two teams that are trying to catch up. Wonder if Tonga / Georgia / Samoa have full time analytic teams that cater to individual learning styles . .

Awesome video about Sports analytics team!! Todays any sports depend on analytics. Look at baseball “moneyball”. Me been a financial analyst and former rugby player/coach/ referee. I developed and implement excel spread sheet on Rugby statistics on scrums, lineout, phases and tackles and won 90% our games in Virginia, Alabama, Pittsburgh club rugby. Cheers from Oklahoma.

The issue is England's great strength at the moment is the defence. You can't defend without the other side having the ball. The best way to do that and control where they have the ball is by kicking it... Boring but effective.

@@noalarms4618 not only . if the game doesn't entertain anymore everybody loose ( read matt dawson recent post) . defense is one thing attacking is another . the french main team seems to have both . good for them and they do have depth on that matter . however english backs are way behind beside the wingers that is why Farrell kick the ball so often in a predictable manner . it's a sign of weakness . this strategy can't last long .
