Thanks for the info. I have watched you for a while now. I think it was you that gave me me good info about the S1, so I bought it. I no y I u have other lasers now. But I glad to see a new video with the S1. Awesome job explaining as always.

Thanks.. I use it pretty regularly, I just try to mix the content up.

Nice results. If you ever get the time to do a glass on the Ultra I wouldn’t argue 😉. Thanks as always for sharing your experience.

Thanks for sharing . I am wondering if you have you used the lower the focus feature on the s1. I haven’t seen anyone demonstrating it. Thanks for any future demos on the lower the focus feature.

Good to know. I have a D1 Pro 10W and still haven't set up and tried anything with the RA 2. I'm a bit intimidated.

You'll get there.

Really appreciate your content and delivery... You explain things simply and without all the "fluff" and to me it makes thing much easier to understand. I am very new to the S1 (and lasers as well) although I have had 3 different cncs the last 10 years. Just received my S1 this week. Love your set up ... I also have the rotary. .. I assume the board under your machine is secured with the brackets over the lip of the riser.. correct ? .

I’ve had some good results with the F1 Ultra using art paper. I’m going to order the spay though. I have some Christmas present ideas I want to try for two red wine lovers.

Really good video, thanks. I am seriously considering buying an engraver but don't want to spend a lot nor do I want a nothing burger. I am looking at the Sculpfun S9 with roller and air assist. Have you had any experience with this machine, by chance? P.S Merry Christmas

I have had a S30 that works well. They are good machines.

Do you know what i can use to get a white etching or marks on glasses. I see them everywhere but cannot find a video on how to get the white markings. I use the Cermark black after watching one of your videos and i am sold on it very consistant results. Thank you again for that tip.
@TheClackShack20 күн бұрын
The black tempura paint tends to make the white shading easier. You need to make sure the coat is even. Air airbrush is the best delivery method.

Could you try using the F1 Ultra and curved surface to see if you get a better result?

I prefer just using a chuck. I was asked to demonstrate using the S1.

Have you used the S1 on standard type Christmas baubles, as you know they have a very shiny crome surface of many colours ( colours this side of the pond )😊 also will have to find a paint brand that has the same qualities as your Cermark, thanks in advance

Is it possible to share/sell the blueprint of your wooden base you have? It is amazing and it definitely will save a lot of time and guessing.

How many tumblers, glasses or cups can you get out of that can of Cermark that you showed in you video?
@TheClackShackАй бұрын
It depends on the size of the engrave. Lots, I have only used a couple cans in 3 years
@JaniLewisPaperCompulsionsАй бұрын
Do you not mark the conure of the glass with the marking function? I thought that was one of the advantages to the S1.
@TheClackShackАй бұрын
I have never used it, I learned how to work without it. It has curved surface but not sure it works with rotary.

Can you please send me the name of that spray paint please
@TheClackShack3 күн бұрын
It isn’t paint, it is Cermark marking spray. There is a link in the description for it also.
@bigdawg5135Ай бұрын
Do you know if that cermark spray works on clear acrylic?
@TheClackShackАй бұрын
It will have a similar effect. It would require testing to get the right settings.
@vitman4414Ай бұрын
So the xtool doesn't actually etch the glass it just bonds the spray material to the glass? I was under the assumption that they would actually etch the glass. So what color sprays can you get besides black and grey?
@TheClackShackАй бұрын
It will etch the glass where the spray is present. No blue laser can mark glass without an agent to assist.
@vitman4414Ай бұрын
@@TheClackShack Thanks for the reply. Also, thanks for your informative videos on the Xtool.

Can you use the CO2 lasers?
@TheClackShackАй бұрын
Yes, you can get white frosting without marking spray with a CO2.

want negative focus set your measurement as normal then before you start just manually reduce the value by whatever you want the negative to be so 87.4 is focus change to 84.4 for 3mm

@wsoeltkakdАй бұрын
I use an S1pro; you're giving it way to much juice. My settings are 10w @80mm/sec. you should only need one pass.
@TheClackShackАй бұрын
I am running 300mm/s, that is much faster which allows for higher power output. I also only run on pass and got good results. I have a fair amount of experience in the matter. Thanks
@flycubflyАй бұрын
So , you are not actually etching the glass . You are getting the paint to bond to it .
@TheClackShackАй бұрын
in this situation, kinda both. Settings dictate
