I also live in Florida and It didn't take you long to learn that you prep or cook early when it is cooler (lol) thanks to airconditioning. I do the same thing you are doing almost every day. I am also a born again believer and cherish my time with the Lord. I love hearing your Bible inspiration and how God speaks to us through other believers. We live up in the Clearwater area and love it. You are the essence of a light in the darkness. What a blessing you and your family are. Love from a sister in Christ.

My parents would go grocery shopping every 6 months. My mennonite dad and English mom find it easy to grocery shop every six months. We didn't have to buy milk and eggs and cheese and yogurt and ice cream and butter and fruits and vegetables. My parents had three gardens and one garden is for fresh fruits and one is for fresh vegetables and one of fresh herbs. In the fall season we go pick all the fresh fruits and vegetables. We washed the fresh fruits and vegetables to can and put in the freezer bags for the winter time and picked the herbs and placed them in the freezer dryer and dry and put them into canning jars. We make homemade pies and bread and cheese and yogurt and ice cream and butter and jelly and jams and soups and broths and dinner rolls and more to put into the freezers and homemade freezer meals to last all winter.

Sounds like what my family did. We canned fruits and vegetables. Churned butter, mom milked the cow, had our own chicken's and eggs, beef, and pork. Everything tasted so good. Have a good day.

But I’m trying to focus on being content where I am & God’s simple blessings like waking up to see another day and the beautiful sunshine. ☀️Thank you always for your encouragement Amy❤

Amy, I thought I would share this with you, a little while ago I bought several bologna rings and ground them all and put them into the containers without the mayonnaise and relish just the bologna ground up and froze them so when I wanted ground bologna sandwiches I could take a container out, thaw it and add the stuff. Well it freezes perfectly. Now I can have ground bologna all summer but only had to use my food processor once to do all the work. Just thought I’d share this.

Amy, 1 love the closer look at the tiles Greg, did in your pool. 2. Did you say that theres another verison of the ho ho recipe of your friends?. Thanks for sharing your recipes have watched you for a few year's. Back when lauren and your eldest son lived back at home. I dont comment often as i should i dont know if comments help as well as likes and views. Btw, precooked thing the same way as schools preparing lunches, restaurant's and or your local DELI at the grocery stores. Like for instance our local albertson's does the roasterrie chickens, lets them set under a hot plate , case for 4 hours then pulls them and shredds them freezes and defrosts and sales them. Yes i did foods for many years school jobs and knowledge lol. Your doing amazing love your channel and content . Keep bein you😊. Tori and family

I so love your message. God using our everyday, mundane lives for His glory.. what a beautiful truth. I do believe we need to normalize ordinary. We are sold a lie (even in some Christian circles) that the life should be all these spiritual highs, getting up on some big stage, getting your name out there, traveling the world, etc.. for most this just isn’t the case. Watching The Chosen has really brought that to life; the raw & ordinary human side of the disciples. I listened to a message this week about “just showing up”. Consistency in the little things over time can make huge impacts all around us. 🩵

I have my own homemade Fried Rice recipe, but I bought the Nasi Goren packets you recommended. We LOVE it! It isn't like traditional asian fried rice, it's kind of a tomato-y base. I usually use 2 packets for 2 cups dry rice. This last time I made it, I added some soy sauce and it was outstanding! I have since stocked up on the Nasi Goren packets thanks to you!

When you prep everything in the morning how do you reheat everything? The microwave? I love the idea of getting everything done but I think I’d feel like I was always eating leftovers. Not judging just a thought. 💜

Not only eating leftovers, but eating leftovers that have many times just been sitting on the stove or in the cold oven all day long. From morning until dinner time, not safe at all especially in a hot state like Florida.

I worked in food service for many years. You honestly have no idea how much of the food served was pre-cooked before it went out of the kitchen. Think about it. Once you place your order in a resturaunt , how long is the wait until you are served? 5 minutes? 20? An hour later? Meals are not instantly ready no matter what kind of establishment it is. It's all pre-cooked / prepped in advance. That's why they actually have "prep cooks" employed too.

Amy, I love how you help so many people in so many different ways, from your older videos where you used to do freezer meals and now you transitioned into not needing them so you do more of homemade things and you still gather your fragments. It’s still helpful to so many people. I still go back and watch some old videos if I need them but I’m like you, my needs have changed so I like it. Sometimes changing is good. Have a wonderful day.
