Tank has the lowest output in all of boxing. That usually doesn’t do well against defensive specialists, especially one as physically gifted as Shakur. Yes, Tank has one-hitter quitter bricks, but will Shakur give him the openings he needs to counter? Tank might decide to pressure Shakur if he doesn’t respect what’s coming back at him. If he chooses that gameplan, I think he gives himself the best chance at not only winning, but picking up a finish as well.

The only way Shakur can win is if he dominates.. not by avoiding exchanges he’ll have to counter and dominate all night if not he’ll lose.. playing defense against tank while barely punching he’ll lose the judges will side with tank.. The fact that he dominated the junior amateur on the international stage then immediately dominated his way to the Olympic and lost against Robeisy in a gold medal fight that could have gone both ways is really impressive! They expect a punch to be thrown so they can counter it. Boxing is like chess. Also that's not what a "rabbit punch" is. A rabbit punch is hitting someone behind the head.

Lomachenkos footwork is on a whole different level. Loma uses his footwork defensively and offensively to create angles, close distance, create distance, feint to draw out punches from the opponent and counter punch, etc....Shakur mainly just uses his footwork to maintain distance.

Let's be real there are certain strengths and weaknesses in any boxer, with that said, the comparison between Gevonte and Shakur comes down to power. Rolie thought fast pace, but he got caught with a left bomb that slept him. My advice Shakur you are a lot of things elusive, defensive, and skilled but so were others that faced tank, more strength training is your best attribute for the win.

As I watch this I noticed something. He boxes exactly the same as he did in the amateurs and the Olympics. He literally hasn’t changed and he also makes the same mistakes and has the same reaction to when he is crowed, he backs up sometimes going as far to jump away a few feet from the opponent. Throws a lot of “arm” punches instead of throwing by turning his hips which is also customary of the amateur boxing style. when he steps up in competition he won’t do well unless he evolves.
