@@Scrounge4 Eh, the "real thing" is fucking annoying as shit, especially in a basement, those boards are heavy as fuck and the pegs, oh my god the fucking pegs. Ive never worked in construction but I helped build my parents house and we had a pretty large basement, doing the cement pours was the worst part because you had to fanagle these hundred pound 8x8 foot long boards in place. Then put like a thousand pegs in to keep the boards together and then they pour the cement which has to dry. Finally the boards come off a couple of days later and you have to break off all the pegs you just put in before you can drywall. If you could just set those things up with drywall blocks and then you could just set up your basement yourself (after the architect dude comes in and marks exactly where everything goes with string or paint) and save yourself thousands upon thousands of dollars. After that instead of needing to drywall you just apply puddy to the gaps and sand down a little (which youd need to do anyways because of the nails so its the same amount of work without having to hang it again saving a ton of money) Also most exterior walls in a house arent cement, it wont replace standard masonry

Sure, but the guy is a complete business idiot for saying on TV how he got the idea in the first place. Now, if a competitor wants to copy the concept and challenge his patent, they can just go to Vietnam, look for prior art there, and play the video of his admission in court. At the minimum, he should have said that he got inspired from something and then adapted the idea to his own needs. Saying that he copied the idea was really stupid. That being said, it could also be that the sharks kept on questioning him and that the show just edited down his response out of context to make him sound bad and create more traffic for the show. I hope for him the latter is the case. At least, if that's the case, he may still be able to defend his patent in a court of law.

Investigative journalist in Australia (she's afraid to trust people but kinda in denial about it and it suits her work) writes about property development and construction industries, right, and she notices some shady inconsistencies in some company's story behind some famous industry-standard product (to be clear I'm riffing into something entirely fictional at this point, not implying anything about the video) ... Our journalist digs, and winds up meeting (and initially being irritated with, but they'll be into each other by the end of the story) some dude whose dead dad had some controversial issue where the company screwed him and hushed up what it was about and may even have offed him. So of course the son wants justice. He (now officially Protagonist #2) and Journalist begrudgingly team up, and start piecing together an IP theft plot involving something something corruption fraud international whatever. (The story narrates along our journalist's timeline/general perspective but she's not the narrator, btw, just third-person narration.) Right after they start suspecting this, they somehow end up reaching out to some Vietnamese chick, she and her dad were brought overseas by Big Bad and her dad was directly taken advantage of but she doesn't know details, all she knows is her dad was also disappeared by the Big Bad back in the day when Dude's-dad found out about the Corruption Fraud International Whatever and tried to whistleblow about it. She and Journalist are both cynical and mistrusting af but they counterintuitively connect on that wavelength, and a lot of the story's humor comes from their wit and snark contrasting that of the optimistic, exuberant, and slightly naive Protagonist #2, maybe. But they've all got clear strengths and quickly come to respect each other. They all wind up going to Some Place In Vietnam to find out more info, even though the Vietnamese chick/Protagonist #3 only remembers the town name and the nickname she called her dad's best friend (he was like an uncle figure to her) from this old factory they had worked at, who might know what's up. They get there and, in some zany encounter, meet a weird grizzled eccentric old dude who seems like a brilliant local guide and private detective, but also possibly totally insane and like he could be conning them. He keeps them and the reader guessing constantly. Bulk of act two is them working with him, and crammed full of classic mystery novel tropes being alluded to and joked about and toyed with. Actually I'm declaring the whole story is full of these. It's a serious drama but also a lampoony love note to mystery novels. Anyway, our lead detective's personality that I'm going for is Hercule Poirot meets Rafiki from The Lion King. Vietnamese Chick has been personally growing and becoming a more love-expressing person this whole time, right, she's back in her hometown after all and something something family and cultural themes and music and food and all the good things. Dudetagonist has been learning a bit of world wisdom and also getting less judgmental of others' trauma responses and being less toxically positive (oops he's becoming my self-insert character lmao). Journalist is gradually developing self-awareness about those areas of growth from being along. So of course, after a series of adventures, we have to fit in some kind of emotional fight and/or sizeable mistake-related learning experience, like Journalist screws up a judgment call of not trusting Grizzled Guide Guy or something and the others call her out, maybe, idk, I got lost in their arc tangent (ha pun retroactively intended) and if it's not obvious by now I'm not a real writer and am making this up as I go XD So anyway, right after the emotional/teamwork turning point, they OF COURSE end up finding an abandoned factory where GASP they find an old original prototype of the revolutionary IP that the Big Bad exploits AAAND AAALLSSOOOO molds and models of other major industry tech innovations that Big Bad has patents on and licensed production of WORLDWIDE. {Insert choir of angels moment} Also I'm thinking by now there's also a clear local history of the local people having suffered environmental and economic harm from some forced shutdown of the factory by unspecified (but we know who duh lol) bad guys back in the day or whatever. Because who doesn't love a prorevenge story with epic layers of innocents getting justice or something lol. So there's like evidence at the site or something that connects directly to Big Bad being present at that time, maybe. Now, a note: Let's make Vietnamese daughter chick have awesome adoptive parents from after she got brought to Aus and after her dad got disappeared. Let's make the mom a charming little old paleontologist who has dinosaur metaphors about everything, and the dad a charming little old geologist. Pretend we briefly heard the chick make reference to them back in act one, and that she eye-rollingly said some cynical line about dinosaurs that we can call back to for laughs and theme and metaphor later. Anyway, our trio of heroes comes back to Aus (they never found the man Protagonist #3 remembered, but as they leave, let's heavily imply that the crazy little old grizzled detective man is totally that guy, like he says some particular saying or line that _could_ be coincidence, but could also be an intentional giveaway referencing her childhood or dad or whatever. She lights up with a questioning smile and he gives a knowing twinkly smile back, right before the trio boards the plane. It's ADORABLE.) My phone is starting to lag about my typing and I think it's due to how long this is so I'm gonna post this and put act three in another reply lmao

Problem I heard is you can only stack a wall tree block high before you fill them with concrete.Reason is if you stack higher and fill them you will get a blow out and concrete will push it apart.So unless your building a very large building you will not use one cement truck load to fill it.There are products that been out for years now the is same set-up but use foam forms and they use reusable walls for support to stop a blowout so you can finish all outer walls in one day and have insulation on both sides of walls.This process has no insulation added.

This looks good but he should have included a foam board insulation layer like with ICF. Then it is the best of three worlds. You have the concrete forms + Insulation + cladding all in one. The problem I see is that when you pour a concrete form, you need to put a waterproof membrane on the outside of it before you put the cladding on. Right now, he has all those joints exposed to the elements. The concrete needs to be covered with a tyvek type wrap.

bro we have this in India also since many years. We call it cement blocks'/bricks and many people use it. Plus, our blocks need no such thing as pouring cement after 3 feet etc. This is a generic product and need to patent here. Patent will be required if you are doing any other value addition.

I know that in Canada we have pre-built, interlocking, standard size, concrete blocks with internal re-bar, and they come with a few different options of surface, but they are cast into the block. (so they are significantly cheaper) I doubt that his patent will stand up if challenged.

It doesn't matter if it was abandoned or not. The patent bureau checks if the invention already exists. If it doesn't the patent gets granted. If at a later point someone challenges the patent and can prove that this invention was already in use prior to the patent application the patent is removed.

He has a landlord so other than stealing the idea he trespassed other people property/ies..... 2) to me this sounds more like someone told him about the idea/concept and he quickly thought to steal it by patenting it before he/she did.
