Not really, there’s ways around it, especially with people with dementia who can’t remember who they actually trust. You can still call them & trick them into doing everything you need, not having a smart device or computer doesn’t change that, remember people have been getting scammed since the beginning of time therefore it’s not hard to revert back to old tactics that were used before smart devices were the normal.

I love the idea of this. The custom buttons could be a barrier to quick buy-and-use though. One possible solution would be, to have buttons 1-6 or 1-8, sell it in regular stores. Contact the company online, upload images or words, company mails out stickers for the buttons. The customization is probably a huge part of the cost. Make standardized units, offer free stickers mailed out with whatever you need printed on. Done. Lose a barrier to entry, decrease the cost.

They have since dropped the 3 button phones, as they didn't sell well with flip phone and simple android options along with a smart watch and emergency paging system similar to Life Alert. Might be why this wouldn't work out as well here in the US.
