@@mariorubio1709 thanks, I’m glad you enjoyed the video! As long as you can find a double din kit for your car, then yes, it’ll fit. You just need the radio bezel and wiring harness so you won’t need to cut up your factory wires

Mekede has been on android 13 for a few months now. I have the mekede M7 plus which just came out in December. It's android 13 and it's upgraded from iOS display to a true QlED screen with 1200P and capable of playing 4k.

Great video!! I had a question do you tube videos keep playing whilst the car is being driven? I know some head-units stop whilst driving I guess for safety. I’m thinking of buying but think that playing whilst driving would be my deciding factor. Please let me know 😊

@@mothewise786 thank you, I’m glad you enjoyed my review. These Android stereos will typically have a wire that goes to the Brake. When you hook up that wire, it’ll stop videos from playing while the E Brake is not engaged. So to answer your question, yes you can still watch/listen to KZbin while in motion, just don’t hook up that wire. And sometimes, even if the wire is hooked up, you can disable the setting

I can't get my Eonon to access developer mode tapping Build number. I tap on it ten times and It won't give me access to Developer Mode, so I can reduce animation for better speed. Any suggestions?

I’m looking for a unit to add to my Harley. I have an external amp to add. I’m looking for: sound quality, wireless CarPlay, dsp and 4-6 pre out rcas. Which one of these new units would work best. Eonon Ua13, x3, atoto, or maxspeedingrods…asking the whole community

I haven't had the chance the chance to review the X3 but the other 3 units mentioned are Android-based (assuming that you're referring to the ATOTO A6/S8 series). With that in mind, all three units use the same universal Android harnesses for communicating with your audio system. The main difference would be that both the UA13 and DQ36 are on Android 13 whereas the Atoto units are still on a older version of Android, I believe its Android 11 if not older. The newer Operating System provides updated security patches and offers a more stable Android environment. In my opinion, both the UA13 and Dq36 are very similiar and I don't think you'd go wrong picking one over the other. Maxpeedingrods is completely new to car stereos and so Eonon may offer better technical support. I believe that Atoto is releasing a new car stereo soon but I don't believe it'll be on Android 13. Atoto has the best techinical support and their user manuals are highly detailed, if they had an Android 13 unit, I would highly recommend that one based the company's history and previous products. Hopefully this helped you in some way, ultimately, I'd go with the more budget friendly option between the UA13 and DQ36

Great video, I’m about to pull the trigger on this unit but have a question…is there a setting to disable the onboard amp and run the speaker outputs at line level? Or would I need to use the RCA outputs?

@@shieldsupscotty I’m not sure if it’s possible to bypass the onboard amplifier but the default speaker outputs are by wire and the rca outputs are optional

How's the on screen keyboard working for you? I've just installed the same headunit in my car after having many Eonon head units the last 15 years and the bottom row of the onscreen keyboard is unresponsive.

I don’t use the keyboard regularly, most of the time, I’ll use the voice search but as of now, the keyboard is still fully functional. It’s inconvenient but you could try plugging in a usb keyboard and use that for typing 😅

What radio harness did you use for the 07 civic si with premium sound.

I used the Scosche HA10B but the Red Wolf will work too. If you're getting no sound, its because the factory amplifier needs to be powered on, this is the case on Si models. On the Eonon wiring harness, there's a blue wire that says "remote" or "amp", you'll connect that wire to the light blue wire of the unused plug. You can locate that wire by searching up '8th gen civic no sound" and there will be a few videos that'll show you which wire to give power to

Unfortunately lots of these companies are able to spoof the information visible on apps like CPU-X and Aida64 etc. It's hard to trust anything they say. ADB is the only way to know what's real and that's not simple for the typical end user.

@@mansor3685 I recommend the Eonon because it’s on a newer Android Operating system. The display is significantly more pleasing like the latest smartphones as well. The Atoto A6 is a great unit but it’s just outdated. There is a new Android unit from Atoto but it’s starting at about $500 because it’s also their new flagship series

F7 doesn't run full Android. It uses a proprietary OS like name brand (Pioneer, JVC, etc) stereos do. It is simpler, faster, and easier to use if CarPlay/Android Auto is all that you want to do, but you cannot install any additional apps on the radio itself. This Eonon is full Android based, so it would be comparable to the Atoto A6 not F7.

yes but connecting it won't be straight forward. You'll have two wires for the steering wheel control that you'll have to play with. In some cases you only use one of them, in other cases, you'll need to use both. It'll take some trial and error to work but you don't need an adapter for it

I haven't had the chance to check the 12S but I'm surprised to hear that you can update the 12S to Android 13. I've checked out a few other Android units and there is no way to update them to a new Android Version. So Eonon is do something right 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

I'd usually agree, got a Sony in my ride currently and I've had my fair shares of Pioneer, Alpines, Kenwoods as well. As long as they're treated right, they will last forever. However, I have yet to see an Android based head unit from any of those brands. Maybe they will one day, make an Android head unit. It'd probably be a big hit, too. I mean, Google Maps, KZbin, Netflix, Pandora, Torque Pro (gauges), etc.. I idle a lot in my vehicle, KZbin/Netflix would be sick. And Torque Pro to show a wide range of gauges while driving, would also be pretty darn sick. I need to stop talking about this because the Torque Pro idea really has me itching to swap my Sony lol

Try rooting and hacking an Alpine or Kenwood or Sony to run some obscure app or launcher or canbus monitor. Those brands may last for years and the same goes for my Nokia mobile from 1999, but thats useless if it ain't got the media platforms and apps I need today in 2024. Open (ish) platforms like Android Automotive OS 13 wired into your vehicle etc are game changing for IVI
