I just found your channel and I must admit. I'm glad I did. I have been on my own weight loss journey for about 6 months now and I'm down 40lbs. All Day I Dream About Food has a terrific recipe for BBQ sauce that has that thick texture. It is delicious. Maybe do another BBQ sauce recipe cook off.

Not that anyone asked lol but, I just use Heinz reduced sugar ketchup (1 gram carb per tablespoon) mustard, worsteshire sauce, garlic/onion seasoning, Sukrin brown sugar replacement to and I'm done. I dont measure since Ive made it so much I just eyeball it. I don't like spicy so this works great for me but adding 'hotness' I'm sure is easy enough. I absolutely love this sauce and make enough to fill a squeeze bottle full. it doesnt go 'bad' and is delicious and cheap! :) it comes out to roughly 1 net gram carb per tsp.

We've been using G Hugh's but not because we love it but because it is easy to get. I've tried 3 different homemade recipes but none of them were any better than g hugh's. I'm glad to see how they ranked compared to Sweet Baby Ray's. I'm not too keen on having to pay ten bucks for a bottle of BBQ sauce but I might have to. You'll be my hero if you find a recipe that compares to Sweet Baby Rays!

I bought the G Hughes BBQ sauce and the ketchup. I'll stay with regular of both. I'll accept the extra calories since it's not something I have every day.

That was a great episode again! You guys did describe each sauces in a way that will help us decide: as you said, people from different areas will seek for a different kind of sauce. Price, carbs count, brand, your faces and reaction to them, that is priceless. I've tried most of these. G Hughes is the only low carb BBQ sauce that I can stomach!! What's interesting is I only like it on pulled or smoked meat... I do not like how it tastes by itself. I'm more fond of Sucralose over Stevia when it comes to sauce! I'm a big fan of Allulose too so I'll have to try the Guy Gone Keto brand. To be fair you should really try these sauces on some real southern bbq ;)

And how far does 2 TBS go when eating BBQ?? because the word 'slather' is the one The Drummer uses when saucing ribs. Lol We love BBQ but in Seattle it's pretty seasonal and not super frequent so it's a cheat day where the sauce is concerned because the meat is too expensive to ruin with sad sauce! I am so glad Alterna Sweets won and also not surprised, Its absolutely delicious! I have tried both the Primal Kitchen bbq sauces and honestly threw them out after one use. The walden farms one is the other I've tried and that one made it to the trash so quickly, one finger taste was all it took for me to gag lol. Sidenote: I noticed y'all did not like any of the ones sweetened with Sucralose! I've yet to try anything sweetened with it because I'm really strict with the sweeteners I use(Erythritol, Stevia, Monk Fruit only). Glad I'm not missing anything!
