Kay, you would laugh. I have been looking for this video every day, just like a little kid. Got my coffee and my socks, I’m happy now. Love the new yarn. I think for your niece I would make a poncho, maybe with sleeves. I just made one for my niece. I added collar with a knit cord tie and furry Pom poms. I can’t wait to see it on her. I was hesitant to cast on a fair isle pair of socks that I’m dying to wear. SSC will be my motivation, I may even cast them on May 26th to knit them “stress free” throughout the summer. The fact that you were so excited about it (SSC) shows that you took the right decision by making it simple. You will be able to enjoy the summer with your family and it’s perfect that way.

Oh! I have both of those sock sets from Three By The Sea, can hardly wait to cast them on. Working on National Parks beanies by Nancy Bates for a customer. They knit up quickly and are beautiful. I’m so glad we can cast on for Summer Sock camp this Friday so I can have a couple ready to go. June 1 starts another KAL with Moonglow yarn co. Lots to knit this summer 😊

I'm knitting socks for my (adult) daughter for the first time : 2 pairs. One a short house sock (with contrast heel and toe) and the other a "long" leg self striping sock (with contrast cuff and toe). I'm hoping to keep socks on the needles all year! YEAH for SSC!! And YEAH for WIPs being included. I probably will not be casting on the 26th. Two reasons: 1) I still have 7 pair on the needles as of today (I'm finishing a pair tonight) and 2) an old farmer's tale says 'never start something new on Friday unless you can finish it by sundown because it will never be done'. I'll cast on in the wee hours of the morning, stay up until midnight Saturday, whatever, but never cast on on a Friday. Still very excited to be knitting socks. If I get my WIPs done, I'll have a nice start to a box of socks.

Love all the socks you have made. I just had to order yarn from Three by the Sea for SSC. I’m looking forward to a relaxed SSC this year & appreciate you allowing WIPs. I have 1 sock started so I’ll be knitting on them for SSC before casting on another pair. My hubby & I will be heading to Tipp City, OH on 5/26 for my brother’s wedding (he’s a widower & is 70) so I’ll have several hours of knitting time. I have "Follow Your Path" on my needles now--after seeing your Rhinebeck Roomies, oh my goodness, those may be what I cast on first when camp opens or shortly thereafter. I met so many nice people the past few years at camp-hope to bump into them again this summer! Eric's socks are amazing-love that color combo. And your Regia ones rock! I love yarn that does the striping work for you. I picked up a few Ruth Ware books at a book sale a couple weeks ago after hearing you say how much you like her. I didn't see the one you just finished but do have the one you're reading now. I'm sure I'll be digging into one of them soon for my bedtime reading. How fun that you have a cut flower garden coming- I threw Sweet William seeds in my flower bed a few years ago and had no hope they'd sprout. I did have 2 plants last year and this year I have a whole bunch...I'm very excited! I do love plants that come up every year by themselves-like my Lily of the Valley. I love them so much.

Hi Kay! So looking forward to Summer Sock Camp. Stress free, Eazy Breezy is good for me. 🧦 OMG about your internet line being cut! We lost ours a couple of months ago starting at noon (I work from home). A truck drove into a pole in front of the Comcast building and took out internet for an entire half of the city. You couldn't even go to Starbucks to pick up service. I couldn't watch TV, listen to music (Alexa was out). I ended up pulling out some old vinyl and listened to records while reading. Fun fact: we got our internet back at 1am. That's when Alexa decided to start playing music really loud. 📢

I am finishing up a test crochet pattern, which is due May 29th. I may not be able to resist casting on before I finish the test pattern, but, Focus for that project is key right now. I'm excited to join sock camp this year. I was not able to last year - life happened, and I was still scared of socks. THis year, I have several pairs of DK weight pairs under my belt, now it's time to use a few of my the sock sets I have picked up. I am excited to use fingering weight yarn and see how that goes. Thank you Kay for inspiring us to have some fun, to share in a knitting community, and for finding a way to have the camp while still honoring your needs.

I’m so happy summer sock camp will be simple- definitely ready to just knit socks. I have read most of Ruth Ware’s books and agree that Turn of the Key is kind of creepy. I have a bunch of girls and love knitting sweater patterns by Georgie Nicolson (tikkiknits)- like Granny’s favorite, surf side, gidday. She has lots of patterns and they are well written. Looking forward to what you choose. My youngest daughter’s birthday is in October and I’ve knit her several sweaters based on your choices for Lily. So thank you!😊

I’m also excited for summer sock camp because I have been buying atleast one skein of yarn at a local yarn store when I travel, if possible. I recently decided, once I figured out socks finally, to use those for socks and call them my travel socks. They will hopefully rekindle great memories from my trips! My first cast on on May 26th will be with one of these yarns I got in Florida in April!

Im new to making socks (and knitting in general). Ive been crocheting for years now, but knitting always intimidated me. I started a pair of socks for my husband about 3 weeks ago. Im over 130 rows in and only halfway done with the foot 😅 hes a size 13 with a 10 inch circumference, so its taking FOREVER. Im following your Austin sock pattern but had to make an XL version which meant casting on 80 stitches. He might only end up with one sock. Haha

Hi! I would suggest a Wee Fosette by Devin Ventre. DK weight short sleeved sweater that can be slightly cropped or not. Three colors with varying stitches that make it a very fun and quick knit! Devin is having a Fosette-along through the end of June.

I will miss buying a pin,as I attach them to my knitting bags. I'm working on some Regia socks, and it is fun to see the patterns come alive, I'm not too keen on the texture of the yarn. 😊
