I really love your 'take no prisoners' approach--not feeling the need to pull punches. Refreshing and therefore the information is more useful to me. So, thank you!

Thank you so much Chef AJ for making these videos. I have been home on maternity leave, and have had the pleasure of listening to all of your videos. I have been vegan on and off for many years but often fall off due to trying to fit in or fear of being vegan during pregnancy (Drs not very supportive). Anyway I have learned so much about myself though your lectures. I never viewed myself as a food addict until recently. For example I learned I will eat 2x as much if it has salt in it. (I made mushroom & bean chili with reg veg broth and ate 2x as much as with low sodium broth). I was shocked and angry with myself. So thank you so much!! 1 question does your book unprocessed have recipes for instant pot and that are s.o.s uwl compliant? Much appreciated

Haha almost all. You have been my guilty pleasure while surviving midnight feedings, washing baby bottles etc. In the past I have gone periods of being a raw food vegan and loved it. My issues/craving/over eating seem to develop when adding cooked food back into my diet which seems a much more sustainable way to eat. I am a teacher in NH and try to be a positive roll model for my students. Eating this way I feel does that. It is so odd to me how people can say "wow you look great or have so much energy what are you doing? And I tell them and their response is always that I need to eat meat and drink milk or I will eventually get sick. Hopefully one day people will wake up!! You are so beautiful and generous for helping so many thousands of people.

The citric acid in the tomatoes is not the biggest problem. It is added to the tomatoes to cover or reverse the use of Soda lye which they need to remove the skin from the tomatoes.

Does anyone know the brand of vinegars that Chef AJ recommends? I remember her mentioning it but I can't seem to find the video.

so interesting! I just recently read a thread on a keto blog where they were basically saying the same thing about potatoes that you are saying about fat. I'm more inclined to believe you over them. But it's still interesting to me that both sides claim the staple of the other sides diet is addicting and should be avoided.

Hey Chef AJ. I have a question. So far, I've lost 50 lbs following your advice. I eat 3 meals a day (and one snack) of rice and beans and veggies and fruits. I've been eating the same amount of food during my whole weight loss journey. But now I feel that I am just ravenously hungry a lot of the time, even though I'm thinner and eating the same amount of food. I exercise the same amount too. Why could this be? And what should I do? Because I don't want to ruin my progress and gain weight again by eating more. Thanks!

Hard to hear you, AJ. You sound distant. Too far from the mic, maybe. Your assistant is coming through loud and strong. Thanks for a great message.

i wanted to ask what is your view on plain popped air popcorn for weight loss or for diabetics? A friends mom says you can eat as much air popcorn as ud like in place of hunger n it fills u up and helps with weight loss. I cant help feeling that that wont last for long as weightloss is concern, but am i wrong?
@shannonhollister42947 жыл бұрын
okay thank u! I know popcorn is below the bar of calorie density, i just didnt know why exactly.

I heard another place mention they don't like pressure cookers, something to do with the high heat killing more vitamins? Why isn't Dr Goldhammer a fan of them?
@livechilllife7 жыл бұрын
Susanelizabeth Turner it's not high heat it's high-pressure it actually retains more vitamins because things cook more quickly. Roasting vegetables at 400° is higher heat but people aren't complaining about nutrient loss that way.
@secondyaya7 жыл бұрын
Oh, I have no issue with my iPot, love the thing, it's just that I have heard twice this wk from people(that run centers, like True North etc) say they aren't fans and I was asking Chef AJ why Goldhammer wasn't a fan. I've heard just what you said, that they retain vits.
@secondyaya7 жыл бұрын
Thanks! I read two more people's blogs today(one was the "Wellness Mama") and both say iPots actually preserve more nutrients! So will look forward to hearing your info on Dr Goldhammer.
