Hullo, my name is Pene, short for Penelope. I live with my husband Pete on the SE coast of England. A short episode this week showing you my finished 5" squares. I am so pleased with the result, I know I shall be making more. I hope it inspires you or gives you some ideas for your projects. If you would like to see the 5" squares individually please see episode 97. In Episode 96 I show you how I sew my pieces together. See you next time. xx

Good to hear of Petes continuing recovery. Love the embroidery and squares on the bobbin. I have used a few of them for my stitchery. We've had a lot of snow here in the Dales this week. My daughter couldn't get out for walks, but enjoyed having snow days walking our dogs. We now have a regular visit from a woodpecker to grightenbthecday. X

What a perfect ending to our evening (in Michigan). The arrival of a new post is such a joy, as we watch for news on Pete's recovery. Your spool idea was so creative and will have all your company wanting to take a look. Great news that Pete is continuing to mend. Good food, good nursing and a will to get well is his best medicine. Your craft is beautiful, so detailed. @@penelopeschinwagnot sure you would like a brush tail possum. They are as big like a fat cat, look very cute and innocent but , eat roses and veggies greedily at night, make noises like a hungry tiger at night, (which scares most of us half to death) and jumps on the roof in the middle of the night and runs around like a hooligan. However little sugar glider possums are adorable, without any of the bad habits of the bigger possum.

It's nice to hear that Pete is recovering well. Being home is the best medicine I'm sure. Your spool is perfect. Just the right size for your five inch squares. I have many squirrels here. They have figured out how to pop the top off my little mesh ball feeders to get at the seeds. The little red squirrels can sit inside and eat and eat and eat. The gray and black guys just stick their heads in. But I have my blue jays and chickadees as always. Today there are a few goldfinch, still in winter plumage, eating at the feeder closest to the window. Cat TV. Thanks for sharing. Nice to see you as always.🤗😊

Well, make my day! So happy to find another podcast so soon. How wonderful to hear Pete is truly on the mend, and with a sweet tooth no less. If i lived close by I would bring him my favorite cake. Perhaps you might want to bake it? It's quick and fairly easy, from Yotam Ottolenghi's "Jerusalem A Cookbook ". Clementine & almond syrup cake (but oranges work beautifully instead), pg. 294, or online, just Google it! I've not made it with the optional chocolate icing. It's perfection without icing! In any case you look beautiful, and happy, and refreshed. Your stitching is gorgeous. The spool is a brilliant solution! I have one that I am going to use for a cross-stitch sampler. Did you knit the sweater you were wearing? Thanks for sharing your projects and your family with us. Last weeks images of the children were darling! Take care and the best to you both. 😊

Thanks, I got in a muddle and thought it was two weeks since my last episode but no only one week! I will look up the cake it sounds gorgeous. Using the spool for cross stitch is a great idea. I love them, I'll be tripping over spools before I've finished! I did knit the cardigan many many years ago, but out it comes and pops over the dress. I'll look out the pattern because I think it would knit up in a fingering weight and could use up some of my wool. I tried to take some film of Tommy yesterday but he was on the go go go and it didn't really work. Next time. Look after yourself. xx

So glad to hear Pete is doing well. Sending him my best wishes please. I love the spool idea, I too watch Sarah’s channel, she good isn’t she. Where did you get the spool from?

Hope you're feeling better yourself. Will pass the message to Pete. There are plenty of spools on Etsy, different types too. xx
