Love the podcast ❤️ Just wanted to explain to you guys about yachting. It’s a term coined by Enty (which is short for Entertainment Lawyer btw) which basically refers to certain models/ influencers who get free trips on yachts and access to particular luxury things because they hang around rich men basically. It’s like an exchange where the rich men look like they’re hanging around all of these beautiful women and the women look like they’re constantly vacationing and taking expensive, luxury trips. Sometimes there’s explicit favours involved but not always. It’s allegedly pretty common among celebs. Notorious “Yachters” include Nina Dobrev and Emily Rata. If anyones interested in a better explanation there’s celeb gossip podcasts like “Fluently Forward” and “Beyond the Blinds” that talk about it often. Also, Jim Carey and Ariana Grande actually did happen lol so weird

I had to sign an NDA when I went to Kanye's ranch lmao he's pretty nuts. Built a massive sand wall around the thing so you can't see into it from the road, you have to be buzzed in through a big gate, there are dudes walking around with massive guns lol it's honestly a weird vibe. He spent millions on these weird adobe style buildings that upon completion he decided looked horrible so now they are just...there. That was last June and now I hear he's selling it so obviously not that important of an NDA but I just thought he's such a silly goose

@Magnolia I still can't imagine what the guns were for. My grandpa was the one who essentially ran the ranch (caring for the animals, maintaining the reservoir, etc.), he carried around a magnum and a big ass sniper but it was purely for coyotes and pelicans. The coyotes would try to attack the animals and the pelicans ate the expensive fish that were put in the reservoir. The other guys tho idk what their reason was, they had what looked like assault rifles and those really are not necessary for the type of wildlife in that area. Kanye wasn't even there so it's not like they were protecting him. Truly bizarre lmao he's some next level shit, but he really liked my grandpa so that was nice

In my opinion, you really can’t complain about how a celebrity acts UNLESS you: 1) paid to see them 2) are at an event and met them naturally If you run up to a celeb in their daily life and expect them to stop what they’re doing to cater to you? Sure they could be nice but they could also be having a bad day.

sarah! i have sensory problems as well and panic attacks, i wear ear plugs and i bring sunglasses EVERY WHERE. i understand if that’s not enough lmao, but it def helps me:) also: i met a small rapper a few years back who’s very famous now at a meet and greet after a small show and he was super rude and impatient with me, but i didn’t take it personally bc he was sweaty and just preformed. it bummed me out but whatever i think mature adult people will be bummed but just take it in stride and try to understand the context of the situation

I know it's still an ad, but I've never heard anyone actually say that their medication makes it difficult to cook meals. ADHD has been absolutely destroying my ability to eat well/not takeout because I can't cook in unfamiliar/sensory overload environments and medication obviously doesn't make food all too appetizing. I've thought about joining meal subscription plans before, but it always felt like "giving up". I truly appreciate such a candid remark in an advertisement and it gave me the confidence to look at meal subscriptions again (dw used y'alls link) knowing that it's okay if my eating and cooking preferences and struggles don't align with non-ADHD people/people not on ADHD medication and that either way we deserve to have nutritious meals and full bellies!

Yachting is referring to celeb prostitution that is just what blind item people call it because it’s most seen done on yachts. example is all the pictures of the hadids and kardashians on random peoples boats/or like random celebrities on boats together usually in like Dubai or like the south of France. It’s a whole rabbit hole
@austinquinlan81372 жыл бұрын
@@RachaelKat I don’t need it explained to me. I’m literally saying I get why Sarah was confused, and that I know where Brittany is coming from. “yachting” by itself just means sailing on a yacht, which is why Sarah was confused. In this context, it’s used to mean “nefarious and often illegal activities on a yacht” which is what Brittany is saying. Kind of like how “grooming” just means to brush or clean, but obviously in other context it means “to prepare for a sexual meeting”.

on the kristen stewart thing: i think i get it. in her twilight years, she really did have that “idgaf” attitude with everything, that was a part of her appeal to the masses. she wasn’t obsessed with the medias perception of her, even in “scandal.” now that she’s older and doing very apparently more serious roles, she has more room to care ab her performance. especially when she’s emulating a person who once lived and was very well known to the world.

I agree with Sarah about the yachting! You can't have a list of serious crimes and have the locations of the crimes in the same list, it doesn't make grammatical sense - yes I can see why they did it, but the way it was written DID imply that yachting was a crime.

In reference to the story about Brittany's pissed off fan: It's fr insane to me how entitled and rude people can be, and Brittany, that situation says waaayyyyy more about you than it does her. Despite being horribly stressed and in the middle of what I'm sure was an anxiety storm, you still put the fan first, considered their feelings, and had the kindness to apologize afterwards. What grosses me out most is the expectations born from the parasocial relationships fans form with their favorite creators. That fan felt entitled to a photo with you simply because they saw you in public. They didn't have the social awareness to see your stress and your literal phone call, and then they exaggerated and lied about the situation all because you didn't give them what they wanted. & to have the audacity to have a "better than thou" attitude after you apologized??? Your life comes first, always! You owe fans nothing, and, unfortunately, it's sometimes the fans who don't understand that. ight that's enough words, sorry for the therapy novel

From urban dictionary: Yachting is a term for Z-C list celebrities who need money to supplement their incomes and in order to keep up appearances. They will go on a yacht typically owned by a millionaire/billionaire and do what said millionaire/billionaire wants. Mostly sexual wants. Celebrity will also most likely be caught by the paparazzi on the yacht and people will think that the celeb has paid etc

Every time I think of blinds and fan interactions I think of how Anthony Mackie always gets blinds on Deux Moi that say he's rude and regularly refuses photos. But then Marvel fans (who typically meet him at Marvel/Disney hosted events) say he's so kind and funny in person. It makes me wonder if negative blinds are purposefully circulated to alter a celebrity's image or if people are ever asked to post good stories to try "saving" someone's image...

My husband took me skiing with him and his brother knowing I’ve never skied or anything like it. Fully got in my boots and skies and everything and we all go to the lift and the dude letting people on notices me struggling to move in general and tells me I will die if I try to go down this mountain. So my husband and his brother go on the lift without me and I go off by myself and sit on the ground and just watch them go past me for an hour. Finally went inside and took my gear off and returned it… and sat there alone for many hours later… I’m so glad I didn’t actually go up the mountain because I probably would have done the same thing! Will not try again 😂

Hey Sarah! I don't know if you'll see this but as someone who also has ADHD I wanna share something with you that has helped my sensory overload a lot. For me the overload of especially noise manifests as anger and frustration as opposed to upset and so I snap at people and lash out and it really affected relationships for a long time, so I feel for you. I'm a sound engineer and so my hearing is vital to my work, I simply have to be able to hear to do my job effectively. Something that techies use to preserve their hearing are custom tuned ear plugs - rather than attenuating all frequencies, they cut the really low and really high ones (these are the frequency ranges that tend to give people the most side effects, because low subsonic rumbles can cause panic and uneasy feelings even to neurotypical people and high supersonic frequencies sometimes feel like a zap to the brain that stop all coherent thought in their tracks) and then attenuate the frequency ranges in between (most human speech is around 2-6kHz) so that rather than EVERYTHING COMING TO YOU AT ONCE AT FULL VOLUME it cuts out the bullshit you can't process in a meaningful way anyway and then lowers the stuff you can to a much more peaceful level. Rather than completely blocking your ears, it just softens everything a bit so it's much more tolerable. They do cost a bit if you go the custom route but if you invest in a good pair thats made just for you, you can wear them for extended periods comfortably and navigate the stuff you really wanna participate in without it having the really negative mental health outcomes. There are cheaper options that will still be tuned to attentuate and cut frequencies without completely blocking your hearing but they won't be custom and can be a little uncomfortable after extended use like at a concert, kind of like how AirPods can be a bit of a pain after hours of listening. It's so crazy how you're able to hear a concert clearly without it being overwhelming and also hear someone speaking to you at a close distance with something in your ears, in the same venue. Obviously don't feel pressured to look into it, but when you mentioned in your last video how Coachella sucked for you and then brought up the metal concert my heart ached for you because I've been there and for me it was so isolating to have to sit out concerts because I couldn't take the stress. Having said that, it made me think of custom ear plugs immediately and yeah I feel like you'd be a great candidate for using them at concerts and big events like DragCon or something. I love your content so much, I really admire you and your work and I love seeing you thrive and learn more about yourself and how to navigate your own mental health. I'm so proud of you, best wishes from Australia
