I intend to drive through Kelowna on my way to Calgary and back later this year (from Poco). The reason Kelowna interests me so much is because it might be the largest city in BC outside metro Vancouver; Victoria is close. It's Kelowna's skyline that interests me and so does Calgary's. I was 2 years old the last time I was in the Husky tower. I've been up the Space Needle 3 times and the space deck of the CN Tower once.

I rode a bicycle across Canada 35 or so years ago. By far, Kelowna was the hottest place I ever felt in Canada . 105 F. The whole valley was beautiful. The lake was beautiful. The people were beautiful. And then I drank cherry juice along the lake, I've never forgotten how good it was. Then I headed east.......wow what a beautiful country you come from.

Wow what a journey that must have been! Yes, Kelowna and the Okanagan in general can be insanely hot! You could always come back you know :)

I was visiting kelowna during the heat wave of June 2021 it was the hottest place ever I will never forget it. It felt like a sauna outside once I left my air conditioned hotel room , I believe it hit 46 celcius or above. a town called lytton not to far away even burnt down. It is such a beautiful area though for sure

love, love, love British Columbia - it has so much to offer and definitely a beautiful province in CANADA

We might be biased, but we think it’s the most beautiful place in the world 😉😊

Now that I have witnessed what British Columbia, Canada has to offer, I have to visit British Colombia, Canada, and to visit Kelowna Park. Your video has promoted British Columbia, Canada more than the Canadian Tourist Bureau. In addition to all the marvelous vistas at Kelowna Park, I would like to try the delicious foods that you ate for breakfast at Kelowna Park. Kelowna Park was a fantastic video!

Thanks, y'all. I loved, loved, loved watching this. I grew up in Lakeview Heights on the west side (right below what's now Quails' Gate), and my Great--grandfather worked for the railroad on the Kettle Valley run.

Thanks for sharing! Having lived in Kelowna my whole life I tend to take the area for granted and videos like yours really help me to appreciate the beautiful place I'm blessed to live in. A couple of suggestions for your next trip: Check out "The Kangaroo Farm" - I always thought I had to go to Australia to meet a Roo but that's not the case. They have a great facility, other exotic animals to check out, and they tend to allow visitors to be hands on. Entering the pen and petting certain animals is encouraged. I even got to wear a pouch and the baby Roo hopped right in! Also in the last 5-10 years Kelowna's microbrewery scene has really exploded. To the point of having a "brewery district" now near the base of Knox mountain. Even if you're not much into beer, it's worth a visit for some of the amazing food, ambiance, music, and to see all of the cool brewing equipment. Safe travels!

I really loved this video! It's quite sentimental to me. We lost our home in the McDougal Creek fire last August (2023) and when you show your footage at hot sands beach, it has my neighborhood up in the background in West Kelowna Estates before the fire. No burned trees and all green. Thank you for this. I really miss it. We'll be back when our house is redone but this footage will now be nostalgic. Also, Sunny's is our favourite breakfast spot!

I have lived in this valley/city my entire life for 52 years and I am so used to it I don't always appreciate it, but DAMN, this valley is one of the best of all I've visited in my international travels. I'll always consider this one of the best homes ever

I’m enjoying these Canadian videos so much, every time I’ve traveled to Canada I’ve gotten sick (3 for 3; Vancouver, Niagara Falls and Quebec, so it’s not the region); so I’d rather “ go there” vicariously!

Drinks on the patio of McCulloughs Station pub, surrounded by orchards and golf courses or lunch on the patio at the Hotel Eldarado ( lakeside ) are some good spots to look for. Father Pandosy`s Mission is a great historical site with heritage buildings plus artifacts.

Also, BC has almost no modern active railways anymore 11:06 . The remnants are for tourism. Modern shipping is by trucking through the mountains.

That was fun! You know how they tell you, this one's got a fruity hint of peachy citrus with a chocolate aftertaste kinda thing? 😂 And then it does? Next time you're on a wine tasting, jump the gun and taste the wines before they deliver the expectation lines, imagine how you'd describe it, then see how well it matches what they say to expect. Eye opening...

Kelowna, more specifically the south central Okanagan valley, has the most mellow winters (OK, gets to -15, -20 degrees Celsius, but only for a couple weeks, then it's like....0 to 10 degrees for most of it

I'm planning a family trip which includes a 10 month daughter, which park would you say is better to go Myra Canyon or Know Mountain?
@EricandSarah10 ай бұрын
100% Myra Canyon if you have time (and a vehicle you can take on a gravel road)! It’s so unique and flat the entire walk, whereas Knox mountain is pretty much straight up. Although later in the morning a higher parking lot opens at Knox so you don’t have to walk as far. But personally the train trestles are way more of a unique experience. I would recommend renting bikes (I believe Myra Canyon Bicycle Rentals offers baby-friendly options) so you can go the full length and enjoy :)

Hi Eric and Sarah. Great video. Would be very useful if you were able to provide a little map of where you are in B.C. And Eric, to avoid sunstroke, you need an Akubra. If you can somehow get an address to me, there is one on it's way to you. Cheers. Richard from Melbourne, Australia
