Thank you Erika! Cutting out friends was hard but once I realized they were happier when I was miserable..those aren’t really friends!

@@Erika2 I was just thinking the other day about how much happier I am that I’m not upset about certain friendships. They can really drag you down mentally if you’re dealing with a difficult/complicated relationship.

@@mallorykitchens9522 Completely! Also I meant to say this to your earlier comment - but friends that try to drag you down and are happier when you're miserable are not friends.

@@Erika2 So true. When the pandemic hit I realized I’d have to hop on KZbin if I was going to surround myself with people I respected & admired. Just to be able to watch positive, productive people doing their thing is really motivating. So thank you for being one of those positive people for me.🙏

Wow! I accidentally bump into this channel and I got to say this channel is underrated. Your video speaks the truth for many American workers! We trade our time to work so hard yet companies value so little. I recently started my own business after graduating from college and I am very happy with my decision. Please continue to inspire others! All hard-working families deserve better!

What a motivating vlog to watch. I am 55 years old, built a success career in sales for bosses but have not proven a successful business on my own. I started my KZbin channel 14 months ago and got monetized after 10 months. I know that there are more opportunities than AdSense revenue. That's why I ended up watching your vlog. Thank you Erika.

The one thing that completely changed my mindset for the better was learning from my mistake. I leased a vehicle for an outrageous price, didn't negotiate, and fell for all these sign-up additions at the dealership as a result. But after that incident, I learned how to better manage my money, invest, negotiate, and try new ideas along the way. Best, worst experience of my life 😅

It's important to distinguish between the level of a "need" and a "want". You NEED clothing, but it doesn't have to be brand name. You need a phone...it doesn't have to be an iphone 37 (or whatever they're up to now).

And this is one of the reasons I enjoy watching you, My dad has always had his own business and three of the things I remember him telling me as a kid was don't pay somebody to do something you can do your self cheaper if you have to charge it then you can't afford it and you will never get rich working for somebody else. Now things have changed since then but I think the concepts are still the same. I said when you started your channel you were on your way, you could see that from a mile away. I am so happy for your success, it didn't take that long did it but of course that is because of you and the person you are. Thanks for taking us on the ride with you.

I didn’t really take up reading until a few years ago when I read that the average CEO reads about 60 books per year. The average American reads about 12 books per year (although I feel this number is quite high). There’s obviously certain habits these people follow to be where they are, and I think reading/continuing education in general is a big one.

Oh the cutting off some people who are no longer helpful for our next level of growth was tough. Having a partner who is also successful and earning 6-figure income is I definitely an inspiration. I now see the difference of why people succeed and some stayed the same. It is different for everyone. Change is hard at first but it’s necessary for real transformation to manifest in our reality. Thanks Erika for sharing your success story. I’m redefining my definition of success especially if you’re showing up everyday to create a life you love. Because. We can’t compare our beginning to someone’s middle of their journey. May we all be rich and wealthy beyond money 💰 which is also a great help while living in this world we live in. Knowing what you want and being happy where you are is success. ❤️

I love all of these, but I don’t resonate with complete frugality. I spend modestly on already prep’d meals, but on weekends, I enjoy supporting local cafes and restaurants. The time I save on these services provide me more time to spend on building my business, winning more deals, or just resting. That makes me more money to invest. Very well done on ditching the high class norm to follow your own vision and aspiration. 👏👏👏

I think most people do take a break from cooking 1-2 times a week. Also keep in mind leftovers for a lot of families. There is also meal prep. My Grandmother, born in 1936 raised me. She’s a Deep South black woman who only knew cooking. I never went to a restaurant until College, with friends. She cooked every day except Saturday(she made a couple of side items for the dinner for Sunday IF they took time). And on Fridays she fried fish and that was it. As I got older, she even stopped frying fish on Fridays and my Granddad would boil a hotdog and eat Frank n beans. Saturday she and I would go to McDonald’s and SPLIT a Big Mac.. SOMETIMES she let me get a fry. Monday dinner was Sunday leftovers.
