damarius ingram I'm sick too, just not with fibroids. I have multiple tumours on my brain and a big one on my lung, so big it can't be removed. Luckily they're benign. It's a rare form called something I can't even spell. Because it's not cancer people don't understand and think I'm fine and it sucks. I think Erin posting this is amazing because it tells people that just because it's not cancer it doesn't mean it's fine. It tells people that you should go get these check ups because you could find something early and it can be treated. My life seems a bit like Erin's was, I can't remember a time without pain.

please please tell me your doctors didnt tell you you needed to remove your uterus. Im assuming you are using that because he said it but then gave you the options for a treatment and not a cure. Treating them would be taking them out, curing them would be taking out the uterus.

Kirsten Reddoch my biggest fibroid that they removed was that big as well. The smallest was the size of a mustard seed. I was given an other option of Uterine fibroid embolization. The only reason I didn't opt for that procedure was because at the time they're were no studies to see how it would effect the process of getting pregnant and since I didn't have kids my OBGYN suggested not to have it done. This was back in 2011. I don't know if things have changed.

I'm 21 years old and was just recently diagnosed with cervical cancer, pelvic inflammatory disease, and polycystic ovarian disease. I just had to surgery to move my ovaries out of my pelvis, so they aren't damaged by radiation. I will have to undergo radiation and chemotherapy 5 days a week for 5 weeks. I will never be able to carry my own child, due to the amount of scar tissue that will be caused from treatment. I'm sending positive vibes your way, Erin! Not having control over your body is one of the worst things a woman can ever go through.

It's amazing how many people have this problem, I'm 13 so I didn't even know about this and I think this show will prepare me for the future if I get this or even if one of my friends gets it I'll have a better understanding of what it is. So thank you, for this video so many people are going to learn, and maybe u could inspire some people to go to a doctor and get checked out.

Erin, I cannot stress enough how you have an incredibly huge amount of strength for sharing your journey. I've had a chronic illness that has been with me since I was born but no one aside from my family is aware of it. I've been on medication for years now and have had 3 month lab tests and check ups for as long as I can remember. It's also a common "invisible" and incurable illness & my doctor has asked me several times to share my story to bring awareness to it, but I just couldn't. Call me selfish, but I feel like if people find out it will be all too real and not just my little secret. My friends don't even know about it, I couldn't bring myself to tell them. Meanwhile, you shared yours with 2 million people. Stay strong, Erin. All 2.2 million of us got your back.

Wow. I'm sobbing watching this. I have polycystic ovarian syndrome which, like your fibroids is such a secretive topic. I was told that I either have to live with the pain or face possibly not having children either. I've chosen to live with it because I do hope to have kids some day. But I've been told if I did get pregnant I'd be high risk. I appreciate this so much. I feel for you so so much.

Rachel Blais PCOS runs in my family and I was diagnosed at 11. Now that it's years later, I can see how much it has truly affected my family. Its good to always remember that it's not impossible to get pregnant with PCOS. There may be risk but it's definitely worth it to try. My aunt, who has PCOS, struggled for close to 20 years before she decided to get fertility help. Before she got help, she did have a few miscarriages, but now she has 3 daughters.

Watching this was like hearing my story told by someone else. I am close to the same age as Erin. I was diagnosed with fibroids in 2015 and underwent 3 myomectomies last year which gave me some pain relief, but may not help my ability to have children. So reassuring to know there are others who understand. I've always said that I am broken as well. It's a very lonely thing to deal with. Erin, thank you for sharing.

I have watched all the women on my mother's side go through this. My Grandma, aunt, and my mom have all had fibroids. I have such a high chance of getting them, as do both of my sisters. I was blessed with a beautiful daughter 3 years ago, and am so grateful that I have had that chance, knowing so many women don't. Even my own family members. Every day I pray that I will catch mine early, hope that my daughter won't get them. I want you to know that at the age of 25, I understand. that you are not alone. That no matter what happens, you will still have a wonderful life. And that it is still possible to have children after they are removed. Do not wait. Get out of pain, and enjoy the life you have. we are all here for you.

Thank you so much for sharing this Erin! So many women live in pain and are just led to believe it's normal. Women's issues aren't properly talked about, and not enough focus is put on those yearly exams. I myself have been dealing with endometriosis for several years. A disease that 1 in 10 women will be affected by, yet no one talks about it. If only it weren't so "taboo" to discuss these issues. I am so glad you are making content to open up the conversation. I hope you are able to have a successful surgery and that your pain will be decreased. Best wishes to you!!

As a medical professional, I think it's great that Erin is showing us her journey with this medical condition that isn't well known. I just have to say though, if anyone out there is having unusual symptoms/pain, please do NOT wait to get it checked out!! I understand some people may think it will pass, or they may be scared to find out, but honestly you really shouldn't wait. A few months or even a year can be the difference between life and death in worst case scenarios (ex. cancer). I hope this video inspires some people to take charge of their health. Erin, you're really brave to share this with the world and I hope everything works out for you in the end! All the best!

Just so you know, with God in your life and the support system you currently have in your family, friends, the team at clevver and all the viewers, are all you need to get through this. Stay strong and converse with God. Every trial and tribulation we go through in life is not God's way of testing our threshhold for sorrow or pain. He knows how strong we are and we as clevver subscribers have seen an Erin that has the best accent, laugh and a really strong personality. Keep your head up and fits ready to fight. Like you said, don't let the pain win. We all are praying for you and Matt

My mom and sister both have fibroids. My mom was originally told she would not be able to get pregnant or carry children and ended up having 4 pregnancies, 3 of which ended up having no issues and resulted in me and my sisters. My older sister who has dealt with the same issues had the same intense pain and bleeding that you had. She suffered for years before she finally decided to go for surgery when she had planned to try having a baby. She went for several surgeries to remove as many cysts as possible. After the surgeries, she ended up getting pregnant and carried my nephew full term and he is now 3 months old. She had some complications throughout and he was smaller than a normal baby due to the cysts growing along with him. I wanted to post this just to say that there is hope and to keep your head up through it all. Your support system is extremely important in all this. Good luck!

A few years ago I had a complete hysterectomy. I had PCOS and stage 4 endometriosis. I also had a cyst the size of a cantaloupe sitting at the top of my uterus. I understand the debilitating pain you are talking about in this video. My issues were too far advanced for any other treatment. I know how it feels to be in a group of people and feel like I am the only person in the world that is going thru what I was going thru. I understand feeling broken and it still hits me sometimes out of the blue. What I can tell you is that after my surgery physically I felt better than I had in a very long time. Am I different? Absolutely. Do I mourn what could have been? Yes. I would love to be able to tell you that it will be easy. There will be struggles. Do I regret the surgery? No. My life is so much better now. I am not eating pain pills out of both hands. I don't have to plan everything based on where the restrooms are. I can leave home any day of the month. I can even leave my purse at home if I want. I did not realize how much of my life was spent trying to cope with the pain and the bleeding and the general sense of anxiety because of the pain and the bleeding. So head up girl.....you are a strong, smart, beautiful woman with a husband that seems to be incredibly supportive and understanding....and pretty easy on the eyes. ;)

I know exactly how she feels, and I think it's amazing that clevver is making this series. I have celiac disease (an auto immune disorder.) I wasn't diagnosed until I was almost 12. So, up until that point I was always sick, and the symptoms only got worse as I grew older. Then a couple months before I was officially diagnosed I could hardly get out of bed, and I still had people in my life who thought I was still doing it all for attention. It took time, but I found amazing doctors who helped change my life forever.

I’m glad that you were strong enough too make this series because it really helps when people who have a huge following show what it’s like to have a condition that most people cannot see. In my case I have Crohn’s disease and people constantly don’t know what I’m going through because if you don’t show it physically people tend to think that you’re just fine but in all reality you have to struggle everyday too overcome and control the symptoms and on top of that having to constantly visit doctors when you’re already ill and tired is a struggle thank you so much for putting this out here and facing the world about your condition ❤️

this series is going to be very real and touching to everybody. Even with people not going through fibroids, they can' still relate on some level. The pain you describe sounds like my depression, something you can't escape or overcome without a clear mind set. but everything is easier said then done. I'm truly touched that you brought this side of you to youtube because most of us had no idea. its easy to wear a smile everyday to work, but then when you get home its a dark place again. this video was touching to me, and many other women going through pain of some sort.

Everyone goes through hard times no matter who they are and it's amazing you're showing this. While I don't have fibroids, I do have a severe invisible illness that causes immense pain on a daily basis. The downhill slide started 1 month before my wedding 8 years ago. I have had 12 surgeries and at least 3x as many procedures in that time with no "cure" in my future. I have learned that is "it's not cancer, it doesn't count". We become marginalized due to lack of education. This documentary is so braver and so needed! I can tell you that I have wondered many times if my husband would have still wanted me if he knew I was going to be broken; a part of me knows he would, but the scared woman on the inside always worries a bit. Soft Hugs!

Although I know nothing I have can compare to the issues and struggles you're going through right now. You've really made me more concerned and alert about my health as should all women be. I'm going through the same journey, where I don't have fiberiods but possibly facing the option of removal of the uterus or to 'burn' the cells that could potential become cancerous. I went through the same thing as far as not seeing a gyno for four years (Insurance didn't cover it.) It is crucial that woman see a gyno, please I beg of you see one, it's very important to your health and your future. I now know that I can't have kids without doctor's help and honestly my husband is sadden by this, I know he is especially when we think I am pregnant but turns out I am negative again. I am praying for you Erin! I don't think your husband would have changed his mind if he knew this now or four years down the road.

My mom had 2 fibroids and she waited 8 years to finally get the surgery because they couldn’t tell if it was ovarian cancer. It was the scariest moment of my life because my mom is my best friend and I couldn’t bare the thought of her having cancer. Thankfully she was cancer free and because she waited so long the fibroids grew to the size of a melon. The doctor said it was the most complicated surgery he ever did and he said he almost couldn’t get her to stop bleeding. That doctor saved her life and I don’t know what would have happened if it was another surgeon! I know it truly was a miracle and God saved my mother! Ladies as soon as you find out you have a fibroid please get it out! I know it’s hard but you need to take care of you first💕💕💕 thank you for sharing Erin you are incredibly brave❤️
